    Sanchez looks stronger and has been looking better as the season goes on and now the curve ball looks devastating, I think he will continue to trend up........

    Bats have let him down again......premium pitching again ....who thought of Martin in cleanup not that it matters?

    Stroman and Sanchez both present a bigger problem to the Jays and that is when it is decided they have reached their season limit in innings pitched, who's going to replace one or both of them? Of coarse this is only a issue if they still are delusional and think they have a shot at making the post season.

    OK I am going to say it Martin absolutely sux. He can't hit and he can't get a ball to second base this year and to prove it Thole replaces him......

    We will have a shot at a win with Estrada if the rain stays away....Tue against the Tigers the Jays haven't committed to Sanchez...is this a rest thing?

    Jays and Sox for 3 could be pivotal for the Jays. I see the only big issue is we start with Dickey and the way Boston is hitting we will need the BP to step up. Dickey is just to hittable and I hope my pessimism is ill founded because the rest of the rotation looks good.......

    Estrada has been this teams Ace since mid 2015 while most of this forum was blowing Price. Sanchez, who I have picked as a Ace is coming on even stronger than I thought, and you can see it in his confidence on the mound. His control down and in was amazing tonight and he just needed another umpire and he could have had 2-3 more stike outs.....

    I would tend to agree however I would say it is more that he seems to loose control of a specific pitch and continues to try and get that pitch in for a strike. As a big fan of Estrada I wouldn't crisis his control as he seems to usually get it together and pull it off in the end unlike Dickey.......

    Your right on this one, this is 12 games that count, and if they don't move out of the cellar things should happen with this team one way or the other......

    He cost the Jays...Revere, plus cash and a player to be named then add the 8 mil. salary. Question who would want him at this point with his record this year and last year wasn't note worthy either...even unloading Dickey would be easier.....

    Storen's last outing against the Twins was a nail biter as they made hard contact against him and he was lucky the Twin's score didn't balloon. I would like to know what the scouts in the bleachers thought. The Storen for Revere trade was a bust, hopefully they get something they need for him. The trade was in part to open up a position for Saunders return, and even though I like Saunder's bat I don't like his ability in left field and to me his speed is suspect........

    Peredes is here for his bat. The only place to put Peredes's is in a pinch hitting or DH slot if last nights game is any indication of his defensive skill set. I don't see much else there when you consider that the Jays will have 3 other's fighting for the 2nd base slot and all are better defensively.

    I am more interested why these guys are underperforming not affixing blame. Is it that they over performed last season, PED's allegations, making no effort to sign established team stars, min. effort to sign new talent? Just saying this amount of poor performance by a majority of established players has to be in response to something. This is a player issue brought on by something........

    Where is the run support this year? The biggest difference is no run support yet, even Thole could challenge Martin at batting. Combine that with a choking Bull Pen and the Jays are loosing again in later innings.......

    He wasn't this bad and the rest of the year when averaged out he was average. I would take average now never mind Monster.......

    I really like Shapiro's moves so far he let Fatty go (who ain't so fat any more), didn't sign Lowe, traded Hendricks, Signed Storen (to one year/8 mil) and a bunch of mutts to fill a bull pen. and oh yeah tried to trade Saunders.......Oh and never went out and got anyone to fill the number one hole which apparently they don't need.....you witnessed what a Ace can do in Sale last night.....Shapiro is brilliant and a giant among strategists......Who is this Atkins as I don't here much about him?
