  1. A what? A SP that stays healthy? Did you just make that up?
  2. Watching Ray, Pearson and Manoah in a row would be a lot of fun. A 3 game set against a team like Oakland that doesn't deal well with the 95/hour+ stuff would be a lot of fun.
  3. I am not sure if I should become a Grichuk believer now... I want to believe but I am afraid if I do he will go on a cold streak! Has Vlad been our best defender this year? Crazy that it might be even considered considering the last year or two. Well done Vlad (whisky commercial clap for him)
  4. It's exactly like that but more cringy. You've got to admit that there has been some "injury/error/odd circumstance" outlier s*** going on this year. I feel like I am watching my Canucks some days. I think we all deserve a nice win streak that is injury free.
  5. I remember a month or so ago thinking that I missed watching the Jays play. I was so naïve back then... This season has been a combination of mind-f*** and tire-fire. One second it's "roll the dice for an E on the left side defense" and the next it's "which pitcher is injured"... I never wanted to see Reece in a BJ's uniform again but here we are... There are honestly no line up combinations on paper right now that I have confidence in.
  6. https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2021/04/30/blue-jays-catcher-alejandro-kirk-knows-a-portion-of-his-success-should-go-to-his-nutritionist.html Interesting article! This caught my attention. The Jays now have dieticians at each minor-league affiliate. Kirk said he wishes he would have listened more about nutrition earlier. Healthy eating and lifestyle choices at ever level of MiLB is a huge step.
  7. Watched the game on PVR. In what world does any MLB manager walk Biggio in that situation? When Biggio came up to bat I was thinking of FF to the beginning of the next inning!
  8. Oh man...so glad I placed that $1000 bet on Scherzer giving up 5 ER in 5 innings and Vlad hitting 3 home runs and having 7 RBI's. Guess I can retire now... f***... Seriously though...wonder what that s*** would have paid off?
  9. The last two offseason's they have brought in guys with winning pedigree. Players like Simeon even on a one year deal get the culture of having high expectations for each individual's performance and team goals ingrained in the younger players. Also having older guys who have had success and are fighting to regain their performance levels is huge for a young team to realize you can't take s*** for granted. I like the culture of the team right now. A good balance of bravado, sage advice and comradery. Sucks that none of that ******** makes able to hit the f***ing ball when they need to... 👍⚾
  10. Did Springer play at the alt site today? Any word on how it went if he did?
  11. Bo has got the yips bad. If he stays at SS it could ruin his confidence. He clearly is overthinking each throw already. Hope Charlie DH's him for a couple games to get his head back on straight.
  12. Wow. I thought Rowdy's stat line was horrible...then I looked at Jansen's. Do either of these guys have a chance to turn things around or has the rest of the league just figured them out? Maybe Jansen needs to get his eyes checked again to see if his prescription has changed...
  13. That game was painful. 4 players on the Jays have around 2/3rd's of the teams RBI's at this point. Yikes.
  14. Hopefully this means no one gets injured tonight at least.
  15. Has Palacios not played or got reps in Dunedin before? That was definitely an odd reaction from him on that play.
  16. LOL...busted. I had the game on PVR and didn't pay attention to the details. I assume it was all part of his master plan to deceive hitters. He still may have been better than if Stripling started though!
  17. Great start by Zeuch today. Progressing really well. tbh I haven't had a lot of faith in him until this year. Palacios...where did he come from? In control and on point so far, damned impressive debut son! Hazel May. So happy to see her progression from inexperienced young hotty to milf. Future cougar for sure. Great progression from what is hopefully the teams future depth.
  18. ...why can't we have nice things?...
  19. https://www.tsn.ca/marcus-stroman-unhappy-new-york-mets-allowed-him-to-start-in-rain-1.1621739 Odd decision by the Mets
  20. Cringe worthy post... These are players in their early 20's ffs. Bichette has HALF a season of MLB experience. 82 GAMES! Most of these players are on occasion going to make plays that cost the team runs. I don't even...figure your s*** out man...
  21. I like the way the Detroit announcer calls the game.
  22. According to MLB Gameday Chatwood has thrown 14 pitches and hasn't used a FB. Is that normal for him or maybe he is just getting a feel for his secondary pitches?
  23. I know they keep talking about positional flexibility but the other side of the discussion is getting players reps at their natural/most likely position. I hope the players that are locked into positions and/or are moving to new positions spend the majority of their time in those positions.
