    My nerves won't be able to handle the Jays making the playoffs. Between expecting a bone-headed infield throwing error, a head-shaking batting substitution, a relief pitcher implosion or an insanely bad route by one of the corner outfielders I think my head would explode.

    Is there a concensus regarding what type of pitchers Walker is best able to tweak/guide there way to better results. Obviously it worked out really well with Ray. What other pitchers might he be able to fix next year?

    Vlad showed he had the talent early in his career. Struggled with more advanced players and fitness. Adjusted to the more advanced players but hasn't quite adjusted to the fitness aspects. He's a bum.. Trade him...💩🙄

    Montoyo is painful to listen to. It is like he was told his number one job is to stay positive for his young roster...not win games...just stay positive. It is like the team hired him to work with young players through the transition stage but the team has out-paced him in the win-now mentality. It hurts my head - get Semien and Ray on one year win-now deals and stick with transition manager Montoyo. I like the front office but I think they over-estimated Montoyo's game management abilities. Whether the team makes the play-offs or not, I just want them in competitive games for the rest of the season.

    I went with the Rays. They keep out-performing their economic situation yet can't draw fans into the stadium. I would love to see them moved to a city that supports them more.

    I have always loved Rowdy as a player but the Jays weren't the right org for him. I will continue to root for him and hope becomes a legend in Milwaukee.

    I like the Pat and Dan combo calling the game better...Pat says fewer stupid things with Dan.

    This game should have been called after 8 innings. A 10-0 game and the pitcher is slipping on the mound due to rain just seems silly.

    Agreed. I don't want either on the team right now. Hopefully they package them both off in trade and somehow get an actual mlb quality catcher back whos contract runs until the end of this year or next. I can't stand watching either of them at this point.

    I think any more Bauer discussions should be moved to an off topic thread at this point. It's making this thread unreadable. It is very clear that most of the discussion is just a back-and-forth amongst people that will never agree, thus making discussion useless. Just my take.

    I would add Cruz just to prevent him from being trading to the teams we will be battling for post season spots with.

    Not sure why they keep giving reasons for his injuries at this point...just keep a word document that says "Merryweather injured, status unknown" and keep posting it randomly for the next few years.

    Fans on the Brewers forum seem fairly satisfied with this trade as well. I was a little surprised by that since I thought we won the deal by a decent margin. Hopefully this is a big win-win deal for both teams.

    Part of me wishes Montoya was clever enough to put guys like Dolis and Chatwood in games knowing they were going to s*** the bed just to force management to acquire better talent. But no...that is not why he does it...

    Did any of those three have All Star Game bonus clauses in their contracts? Any future free agents with the Jays should ask for All Star game bonus clauses since Canada gets it done for voting!
