    So I was recording the game to give me time to get the boys to bed...so I couldn't come on here...just caught up. 2 take aways so far. 1. Buck said Chris Martin hit a HR for the cubs in the 1st inning last night. Must be a big Coldplay fan. 2. The Baez bare hand at 2nd base was THE worst call I've ever seen by an ump in the majors. The worst.

    7-8 years ago I would have been all over this, but with 3 kids, I just can't commit the time anymore (and I hate half ass'ing that type of thing). I'm also holding a grudge for being left off the "preferred list". Screw you, I'm going home.

    They've had this conversation already during the WS...it's baffling that they can talk about it for so long without noting that Bryant provides significantly more value defensively and as a base runner. It's f***ing embarrassing.

    He has a career wRC+ of 78 vs. LHP, including wRC+'s of 3, 84 and 57 over the past 3 years (yes....wRC+ of 3 vs. LHP in 2016). Given this - along with the reality that his base running and defensive value continues to erode, I think you'd have to be incredibly short-sighted to pay him as, and expect him to be a full-time player. That said - he's still a very strong player on the strong side of the platoon. Platoon's are much more accepted and used in this day in age, so it will be interesting just to see what the market for a LH platoon bat is.
