Last night's game was a bit of a win for the analytic community. Dubbed as a classic, old time pitchers duel throughout the game - Kershaw hit the proverbial wall and was almost instantly ineffective the 3rd time through the lineup.
Holy f***....did the dinosaur's just talk about how catchers are more worried about framing pitches than catching the ball - and really question how stupid the catchers think the umpires are?
Umpires get like 12-15% of pitches wrong. They are easily swayed.
Are they still going on about this? Suggesting that framing is stupid? f*** sakes MLB.
Of course the dinosaur's would discuss the AL MVP race - show the traditional stats and then mention that you could add Khris Davis as the 6th option.
WHY in the f*** doesn't MLB promote the use of WAR? Would it kill them to include WAR with the traditional stats and have the dinosaurs suggest that the base running and defense of Betts and Trout set them apart from the likes of JD Martinez (and obviously f***ing Khris Davis). f***
Buck - "there's a certain knack that RBI hitters have with runners in scoring position"
f*** me MLB - nobody believes this s*** anymore. Retire this dinosaur.
He's not really known for making good decisions...speaking of which - what on earth was Robert's challenging?
Kershaw just doesn't look dominant at all anymore.
