    Blue Jays released RHP Jake Petricka. Petricka has been at the team's alternate training site all season. The Jays also added Orelvis Martinez to their 60-man player pool.

    Fair enough - but in terms of Teo - he's raked since returning to the big club in the middle of last year. The sample size is larger. Same with LGJ....they are both looking legit. We'll need to see more of Tellez of course, but the K% and BB% took a huge step in the right direction this year and I'm told those both stabilize relatively quickly.

    15,895 To be honest, it seemed totally feasible to have that many fans in the stadium. 22% of their capacity or something? Chiefs are such a delight to watch.

    Of course - I'd like to see Jansen start hitting too. The good news is Teo, LGJ & Tellez all look like they might be legit pieces too.....it's still super early, but even Fisher is showing signs of life.

    Hit the nail on the head. That said - here is how I've rationalized it. We had 2 stud prospects coming up to the majors. Vlad and Bo. Then we had Cavan who put himself on the prospect map after changing his approach and raking in 2018...but he was anything but a sure thing. Bo has become what we hoped Vlad would be.....he's a young superstar Cavan has become what we hoped Bo would be.....he's a young star Vlad has become what we probably could have expected from Cavan.....young, but still figuring it out. If you close your eyes and change the names - the results aren't far off from where my expectations were in early 2019.....and there's obviously still a chance that Vlad figures it out and becomes Miggy/Ortiz/Fielder

    We all expect that Cabrera got his birth certificate at the same place Pujols did right? He's probably already 40 years old. He did completely fall off a cliff though. If he continues to post negatives WAR's for the next year or so, Scott Rolen may actually pass him for career WAR....which is kind of crazy.

    That was the average score in my kids Rookie Ball team last year. The games are really exciting if you love offense and hate defense!

    I'm not as enthusiastic about Walker as you are, but I'm no opposed to bringing him back on a 1 year deal. Seeing as he threw just 14 innings between 2018 and 2019, he's a massive risk and thus shouldn't be commanding years or top $.

    Sorry man - I'm talking about Roark...and it was 3 starts ago v. the Orioles (my bad). He came out for the 6th with a 3-1 lead and gave up a double, single and then a HR to make it 4-3 Orioles without getting an out. Montoyo leaves Roark in to face the lineup a 3rd time - he gets f***ing lit up....Montoyo pulls him 2 starts later before he faces the lineup a 3rd time and he get royally pissed off. Roark isn't smart.

    Good managers talk to their players, educate them on the reasoning behind the decisions and generate buy in from all levels. It can be easier said than done of course, but that's on Charlie. Did Roark already forget what happened in his previous start when Charlie left him in to start the 6th and he immediately got LIT UP and gave up the lead without getting an out?

    Tellez has a sprained right knee - severity still unknown. He's going to the IL and his regular season is probably finished. We can't catch a break.

He's looking pretty legit these days fellas. I don't know if it sticks, but kudos for him for his hard work - he's lost a ton of weight, improved his body, his defense, his speed and his swing path - all while overcoming a very difficult time with the loss of his mother.

    It's still incredible that Sosa had a 93 wRC+ the year before he hit 66 HRs on route to a 159 wRC+ season.
