  1. Everyone has to play though. He is managing this team like a local league little league team.
  2. He hit 99 MPH also. That's a great story. He was nasty back from 2009 to 2011.
  3. I'm not buying that. Cole could have stayed or you bring in Bass who only threw 17 pitches the previous day. Nobody can throw 2 days in a row? f*** that. I guess he can't public say "you know, you're right - I misused Gavilio who's f***ing s*** and better suited for long relief/mop up duty. I won't make that mistake again" - but f*** me. You can't say you think he's a high leverage guy. I'd be temped to fire him and make Dante the f***ing manager after s*** like that.
  4. He was in Vans...but custom Vans cleats. https://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/michael-lorenzen-pitches-custom-vans-cleats-reds/559763
  5. We need a thread for these beauties. He says so many stupid nuggets every year.
  6. Does Michael Lorenzen pitch in a pair of Vans???
  7. Bring back Gibby. How the f*** is Gavilio even considered in a tight game on day 2?
  8. I've said it before. The illegal substances (which every team is using to some extent) is very overlooked. Teams may have come up with a mixture that improves spin rates over the traditional sunscreen and rosin.
  9. We need to create a thread to collect all the moronic things Buck says each year. Tonight I heard Buck say that Ryu reminds him of David Wells, he's a great athlete on the mound.
  10. Would Dante even need to be paid? He very well might be a father who's volunteered to coach a major league team! As a father who's a volunteer baseball coach - that's awesome.
  11. Agreed. Bo and Biggy are just both incredibly for completely different reasons. Love these 2.
  12. Anyone else wondering if Cecil Fielder may have spent a romantic evening with Sr's wife?
  13. Somewhere Goose Gossage is happy for once.
  14. That first pitch frame job is f***ing incredible.
  15. These are two teams I want to watch. Great lineups. Exciting players. Mets could do some serious damage if Cespedes is healthy and Nimmo/Cano bounce back.
  16. Laika - you're selling Conforto short man. He's a and better than Schwarber
  17. correct. 3 batters or finish an inning.
  18. Holy f*** I saw that and was going to make a comment. Your comment is 1000 times better than the trash I would have come up with. Well done sir.
  19. Congrats CD!
  20. You must be mistaken. I was told big boned ball players can't lose weight or transformer their body.
  21. Are you saying the Crown owns the land 'around' the dome and someone else owns the land within the building footprint? That is messed up.
  22. You can't honestly believe that.
  23. As Laika said - adjusting the seats (direction, spacing, etc.) and reducing the capacity some would go a LONG way to improving the experience. The dome still is enjoyable when the roof is open and the CN Tower is in the backdrop. I think there's still room to add some more lipstick before they need a new one.
  24. I tend to agree, which is why I was really surprised it ranked as the 3rd worst in MLB. I've been to Boston, NY, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cincy, Philly, Baltimore and Washington and while I prefer most of those stadiums to the dome - I wasn't left thinking the dome is a complete s*** hole compared to those parks...while also factoring in that going to something new is naturally going to seem 'better' when compared to a stadium you've been to plenty of times.
