  1. I obviously know what you're saying, but I believe BB% and K% stabilize over about 100 at bats.
  2. I mean obviously you would - but playing the remainder of the game without a DH is quite a risk. They didn't do this in 2018. We really need to see this for 32 to 34 starts this year. Baseball needs more Ohtani.
  3. Man - there have been 3 or 4 balls hit tonight I thought were gone off the bat (their microphone placement seems awesome - sounds amazing (and deceiving) when they square it up. Maybe it's that sound - or maybe the balls don't have as much juice this year.
  4. I must have missed the backstory here. Does Ohtani just really like hitting when he pitches? Or does the team just really want to have his bat in the lineup every game?
  5. Does that ball leave the yard last year?
  6. This Angels team sure has a ton of potential.
  7. Absolutely - I just yelled at my 10 year old son to put his phone away and f***ing watch Ohtani.
  8. Holy f***. Throwing 101, hitting 450 foot home runs. This is the first time in 118 years that the pitcher is batting 2nd in the lineup.
  9. Tellez was elite with the bat last year. Made huge improvements to his BB% and K%. Let's not put a ton of weight in his spring and 2 games.
  10. f*** yes. Ohtani is must watch baseball. Garrett Crochet also is!
  11. Wiseman...
  12. Why's he getting his first shot at age 28? Dude has hit at almost every level.
  13. Leiter has a high effort delivery - but man, the swagger is really good.
  14. Man - we're starting to have those discussions internally and there are a lot of those type. I don't think there's anyway we can go back to being in the office 9-5, Monday to Friday. It's going to have to be a hybrid system....which makes sense. There's no one way to do something. There are all kinds of pro's and con's of remote and in-office work.
  15. Remind me a bit of K-Rod...something about the windup.
  16. No he can't. Can't hit either.
  17. Yeah - we're a retro option. I don't think 'kids' these days even consider a message board format. That's too bad. I credit almost all of my current knowledge about the game today to this board (in terms of how the game has changed over the past 10 years). It's an amazing resource.
  18. For me it was one of the new benefits of remote working!
  19. meh - I still love this board.
  20. I know it's Game 1, but I really think Bo, Teo, Vlad, LGJ are the teams top hitters and need to be moved to the top of the lineup.
  21. I love watching Matt Chapman.
  22. Kumar Rocker's mechanics look odd to me.
  23. Glasnow just dominant today. Love him.
  24. This didn't go so well for them today...
