  1. Odorizzi may also have the highest upside. For me, he's the clear choice. Odorizzi > Paxton >> Walker
  2. It is interesting that Osuna and Giles, who were the 3rd and 6th best relief pitchers in baseball between 2015 and 2019 both remain without a job. I know both are hurt and possibly unable to contribute in 2021, but you'd think someone would hand them a 2 year deal to help the 2022 team (ala Pineda, Kahnle, etc.)
  3. Sandy Rosario deserves a raise....
  4. The King has hit rock bottom. He must really love baseball still.
  5. agreed, but it's a nice deal for the Brewers. Wong is a solid player.
  6. I'm going to assume he means Marquez.
  7. Her picture is officially listed on the wikipedia website under "digger, gold" I think she meant she was 25 when she started having plastic surgery. She gets asked that more than how old she is.
  8. He is. I think that's also why Boucher's minutes got cut in half. FVV, Boucher, Stanley Johnson, Yuta, T.Davis - the Raps are consistently able to find no-name players (yes Johnson was a top 10 pick - but he'd previously sucked) and develop them into legit players. If nothing else, that's fun to watch.
  9. you need to let this one go. The FO knows what they are doing.
  10. Projections. Steamers has Vlad projected as the 9th best hitter in baseball this year. History suggests batters who were 15% above league average at the age of 21 become beasts at the plate. Will Vlad? I don't know - projections obviously aren't always right. But that's why you'll see many pencil him into the cleanup spot (for the next 10 years I hope).
  11. Well duh - I love that website. Tellez's page has lots of those beautiful red circles on it. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/rowdy-tellez-642133?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb
  12. I don't really know what Salvant Hitting Metrics are - but I like that they said Tellez's were great, if not elite last year. How amazing would it be if Tellez's results from 2020 were sustainable?
  13. You shut your whore mouth. Cooperstown is incredible - even if there are debates about who got in, or who should get in (and at the end of the day, that gives people a reason to talk about baseball, which is a good thing). That said - if they could incorporate what your suggesting into Cooperstown - then sure.
  14. I wonder if it's time to try him in the pen. If his fastball plays up, he could be an Andrew Miller type with that slider.
  15. and Longoria?
  16. yeah that's fair - I was drawing a complete blank on anyone who left Colorado and maintained his production....not many have. Holliday did and DJLH somehow went from league average to one of the best hitters in baseball.
  17. He's exactly the type of player this team needs to be a true WS contender. This is our window and 2-4 years is short enough to mitigate the risk. That deal is essentially done by the time we have to extend the core.
  18. good one - he's probably the best example (only one?). DJLH is a different case as he was a league average hitter while in Colorado.
  19. Has there ever been a stud player leave Coors Field that continued to be a great hitter?
  20. 2 years $80M 3 years $105M 4 years $120M
  21. This is a very unique and completely different situation IMO. Unloading a massive deal like Arenado's in a year when like 5 teams are spending (and most of those teams have already spent their wad) and the player can control which team he goes to (or doesn't want to go to) is a lot different than unloading your top pitcher who's still in his arbitration years.
  22. For me - I'm not sure I want the Jays to add Arenado at 6 years $149M right now if it prevents us from adding pitching and/or hurts our ability to lock up the core long term. Based on the team we have today, we'd be better to use that money for Bauer + Rosenthal.
  23. Yeah imagine the numbers he could put up if he got out of Coors Field...
