That's the fastest Stanton has run all season...let that sink in.

I just realized Joe Davis did the ultimate tribute to Vin Sully....same call! This afternoon Joe Buck called the David Freese HR in 2011 where he quoted his Dad "and we'll see you tomorrow night" (Puckett HR). That's as good as it gets for a broadcaster. To have the opportunity to call a historic moment and to pay tribute to some of the best to ever do it. Well done. How can you not be romantic about baseball!

I'd say the Jets. I never expected anything from the Browns with Watson as their QB.

Dodgers announce Ohtani WILL play in game 3...
  5. Brownie19
With Ohtani returning for games 6 and 7 to play hero? Yep - sign me up.
  6. Brownie19
Another incredible game. I really do hope this somehow goes 7 games...
  7. Brownie19
They are saying shoulder...maybe popped out?
  8. Brownie19
    It's his left arm...
  9. Brownie19
Oh f***. Ohtani hurt? Wrist or elbow?
  10. Brownie19
Yamamoto just shoved tonight. What a performance. That was beautiful to watch.

Tommy f***ing Edman. He does it again. Unreal.
  15. Brownie19
    What do you mean?

Is Hill that much better of an option? Cortes was pretty good this year - but was working his way back from injury. I mean tough decision. I'm not much more confident in Hill going thru that part of the order...
  17. Brownie19
That's an ALL-TIME game right there. Unreal finish.

HOLY f***. WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Freeman is a good damn beast...

What a Game 1. Huge matchup here. Treinen v. Judge.
  22. Brownie19
That is a great play by Jazz.

Was that a mistake by Roberts to leave Flaherty in for the 6th? Everyone loves to dissect/rip the decisions to pull a SPer too early (when they are rolling). Was this an example of what can happen when you go with your gut and ignore the analytics? The way Stanton is hitting, you can certainly question the decision to let him see Flaherty a 3rd time through.

The play by Edman was incredible. He not only saved a run by gloving it in the first place, but he saved a run by throwing home instead of to 1st (Jazz was going). He's been unbelievable for the Dodgers these playoffs.

Little update...positive stuff. Blue Jays LHP prospect, Kendry Rojas threw three scoreless innings in the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday, striking out two and allowing two hits. Rojas missed the first few months of the year with a shoulder injury but returned to High-A in early July and posted a 2.59 ERA with 69 strikeouts and 14 walks in 62 2/3 innings. The 21-year-old is now up to the mid-90s on his fastball while also featuring a plus changeup, gyro slider, and cutter. He is an intriguing arm in the Blue Jays system and will likely start the 2025 season in Double-A.
