  1. That's fair - and a much better retort. I knew you could do it! The reality is that nobody is really able to keep up with the Dodgers. But the good news is that the best team doesn't always win...
  2. What a dumb retort. You make claims that the Jays offense isn't strong enough. You provide no evidence or theory to support this claim - just "trust me bruh" as only Chicken Little could. BTS points out the projection systems suggest the Jays replacement for Bo and Tony (who didn't even help the team last year) are comparable - within a 5% difference. We finished 4th in the league in runs (2nd in the AL) in 2025, so even if the absence of Bo and Santander hurts of the offense a bit - we're not looking at a below average offense. This is a very logical, straightforward mindset for most. But not you. Instead, you're going to try discrediting to use of various projection systems - acting like if they aren't 1000% accurate that they are useless. This is mind-numbingly stupid, even for you. You can do better.
  3. in AA or AAA? Yes, there's room for him there.
  4. He might not hold up working at the DMV at this point. This is the reality you face when players develop large velo jumps. Some (lots?) of them are going to break.
  5. For some - if they can't complain about something - they have nothing to say, which seemingly makes them uncomfortable, so they complain and/or worry out loud... Que the response that he's trying to uphold his reputation of being a whiny turd - like that's acceptable justification.
  6. I believe we're currently projected to have the 3rd highest offensive WAR across all of MLB...Fangraphs projects 8th in MLB in runs/game. Projections are never perfect, but we're starting the year in pretty good shape.
  7. Braves extend Chris Sale, 1 year $27M
  8. It's like he blacked out for the offseason...
  9. His fielding value the past 2 years was 57th and 55th percentile.
  10. I'd take a link please
  11. Let's hope he's over the wrist injury and can rebound. I like the pick up (as much as I can like adding a DFA'd guy)
  12. Interesting. He was a high K% (with good BB%) early in his career and put up solid #'s. Broke out in 2024, when his K% dropped to a hair below 18% with a wRC+ of 142. Fell off a cliff in 2025 in his first time at AAA at age 25. Was he hurt? Sounds like he's a solid enough defender up the middle. Seems like a decent flyer. Anyone know anything else about him?
  13. Always have to blame someone eh?
  14. It's not an allegation when there's evidence/proof that it's true...
  15. Do we think Manfred is doing a bad job? I think he's done a pretty good job navigating through the evolution of the game and I'm generally in support of all the rule changes they've made. It feels like the game is thriving to the extent possible these days - in a world full of competition.
  16. Exactly. This team can win low scoring games too.
  17. His highlights are tantalizing. It is exciting to add someone with that much raw talent. The swing is beautiful and violent. He isn't a huge strikeout guy. In his prime. Can't wait to see if Popkins can unlock a breakout season. Would be a very welcome surprise.
  18. If he doesn't get somewhat regular playing time - there's a good chance he give us a Bradley Zimmer type season.
  19. You realize that lots of fans know little to nothing about baseball eh? There's even some on this board that don't! Don't be fooled by the success Loperfido had last year at the plate...
  20. That seems like a good outcome for both teams. Gallen needs to prove himself and Arizona doesn't have to commit multiple years to a guy who's thrown some big time innings for them - but who might firmly be in the decline stage of his career.
  21. Oh my - his numbers under the hood aren't pretty. How did he ever have B2B seasons with a wRC+ >115?
  22. Rengifo for $3.5M. Seems like he's a reasonable gamble to rebound and provide a little offense? He was solid 2022-2024. Balls last year. Only 29?
