  1. Screw all of the above - I'm on the Mets bandwagon
  2. Was the Braves' staff wearing Jay's jerseys that game?
  3. Help me decide who to root for this postseason... preferably a wild card team I think I've narrowed it down to these but open to thoughts. Orioles I always feel a division rival who wins the WS just shows how strong the division is Orioles haven't won in 40+ years and would rather them over the Yankees any day of the week. Padres/Brewers Have never won a WS Nothing bad to say about them Padres triple play W to clinch against the Dodgers was fire Braves* Assuming they get past the Royals this weekend, the Braves begin their postseason on Monday in a double header with the Mets that'll likely determine who's in or out. If that scenario plays out and if the Braves make it in, it'll be a fun ride and they'd be riding a hot streak to start the postseason. Plus, I still got a soft spot for AA. Teams I won't be rooting for: - Yankees - Dodgers - Royals (still have 2015 nightmares, altho I like Bobby Witt Jr. he just wears the wrong uniform)
  4. Hittable + Not Special
  5. As much talk as Judge gets around the league, Bobby Witt Jr. is having an unreal season. His bat has matched his D and he's going to put up a 10 WAR season... When was the last SS that's done that? Ripkin Jr.?
  6. Considering this season is a L, having an atrocious bullpen really makes for exciting games lol
  7. Last 29IP - 32K 2ER Hittable, nothing special
  8. Is there any data on how well FA long term deals have panned out for players signing with new teams (new environment) vs staying with their original organization? Guessing nothing concrete
  9. We've increased our odds from 0.1% to 0.2% last week.
  10. Jansen to play for both teams today lol https://www.mlb.com/news/danny-jansen-could-play-for-both-teams-in-a-game
  11. heh, Crawford was facing Jansen when the rain delay happened that resumes today:
  12. Story time.. Was at a game when Rasmus hit a homerun and I literally named my then future son, Colby lol.
  13. Wagner has more WAR than Bichette after 1 game. Good times.
  14. Yeah, super annoying to us but to him he's just building up his resume for a very hefty pay day, as early as this off season because of it.
  15. His last 20 games is just Godly:
  16. Yeah, I think realistically they got a very good return on expiring contracts. They still have time to make a stance on Vlad. He was never their priority at the deadline and shouldn't have been. They had so much work to get done, they weren't calling teams on offers for Vlad & Bo unless something magical came to them. They got more than a bucket of balls for many of these guys...
  17. The heavy lifting is already done... Hopefully still more to come
  18. I think so, we're talking about a franchise calibre player under team control that we are committing to build around. Although trading for Tulo's contract at the time was a pretty big decision too. The only thing certain was his defense... too bad his payments for the next 6 years was also.
  19. Long term deals are risky but it doesn't mean they aren't moveable after... He's not 28+ years old with a huge risk factor and lets be real studs get paid these days. If the Jays don't pay him someone certainly will. I don't beleive his position hinders his value as much as others think. For those who forgot, when Vernon Wells came to this point in his career we extended him with the biggest contract in Jays history and was still able to trade him with the entire salary 3 years later. He was never a 6 WAR player...
  20. I don't understand what the Astros were thinking here except a quick overreaction to Seattle. It's 10 starts... Bravo Atkins
  21. It's too bad Romano is a wild card if he'll return. Could have been a decent haul for him even on a down/injured year.
  22. I don't know Mariners line up, would they plan to platoon him?
