  1. Doesn't matter if they want him unless they're willing to give up multiple big pieces. Have to think the Jays would accept a deal of Weaver/Reyes and someone like Piscotty/Grichuk though. Then you could sign a guy like Frazier on the FA market and the Jays "get better for next year".
  2. By having it on the Sundays they got everyone to line up 2 hours before the game so once they get you inside you were buying concessions, jays shop merchandise etc which is a lot of extra revenue even if the game may sell out anyway. No one's lining up to get in the dome an hour before on a Wednesday in May to get a bobblehead. When they did the giveaways during the week this year you could stroll up at 6:45 and get one pretty easily.
  3. Well this year I think they were under $80 each so thats a 20% hike on a losing season. The Seats available were like row 36 which is underneath the overhang so certainly not a good seat.
  4. Funny because his career value on the open market was worth $183 Million which is still more than he earned in salary over his career.
  5. This year was pretty high, and you're going to strike out more in the majors vs the minors obviously. If he can maintain a .200 ISO with a 25% K rate he can be a solid player.
  6. Surprised Jeter didn't win it tbh
  7. Teoscar seems to have a ton of power but hus hard hit rate isn't even 25% entering the game. Which is weird because his home runs have been blasts. I think he's going to have to cut down the strikeouts to be more than a 4th OFer though.
  8. 4 Homers in 1 outing after not scoring a run off him this year. Thats insane.
  9. Wow did the prices ever go up. $100 each ticket for infield "A" games.
  10. Definitely are close but after today Judge does have him beat in WAR and is the better defender. Funny because they couldn't be more different. Judge this massive OF with towering power who strikes out a lot while Altuve is a tiny speedy high avg type.
  11. Judge gonna win MVP
  12. You sure like to brag about a pretty crappy team.
  13. It wasn't in the proposal for the Dunedin facility. Shapiro said the cost of owning the building+ maintenance wasn't worth it. The Lansing stadium has apartments right beside the stadium that a lot of the players live in which is a pretty good setup.
  14. Now that the Canadian Dollar is around $1.20 for each USD I wonder if they spend more money. They conveniently said the USD going up was a factor for payroll before so lets see if it works the other way.
  15. I think you need better OF defence. He's not going to be cheap either.
  16. And it was Alex Gordon vs the Jays who did it. I was at the game so now I can say I witnessed history! lol
  17. Have to consider inflation don't forget. There would be no incentive for him to sign 1/12 this close to FA which makes me think it would be a little more.
  18. Even at 1/15 thats pretty damn good value. He's been basically a 3 Win pitcher each of the last 2 seasons and FIP underrates him.
  19. Have to think it would. If they re-do the seats it makes a lot more sense to make the actual seats bigger plus add more aisles so instead of having 22 seats in a row you have 12-14. Plus they could take out a bunch of the 500 Level seats and add a standing room bar up there. You would lose the lowest revenue seats while still being able to sell standing room tickets for the popular games.
  20. Props to Estrada for signing this deal, he must really like the organization to sign an extension for 1 guaranteed year this close to FA.
  21. dude why are you so proud of a crappy fantasy team.
  22. So while it seemed a month ago Sale was a lock for Cy Young I think Kluber is the favourite right now. In the 2nd half Kluber is 10-1 1.92 ERA 2.31 xFIP 98IP 11.81 K/9 0.92 BB/9
  23. Booze Hounds had a great week, congrats. Going to be a tough team to beat have an outstanding lineup and the pitching is decent as well.
  24. He's right though these balls are getting hit off the end of the bad and leaving the yard. That Lindor hit the other night is a routine flyball and it hit off the wall.
