Best part from that piece was a quote by Buehrle "There was the World Baseball Classic, injuries, and, God love him, but we trotted out one of the worst everyday catchers in the modern era."
I would think that if the Jays drafted Touki they would tweak the delivery. With these kids being so young, most are projects anyway. That being said, when you have a pick that high you probaby want an established player where you are not changing alot.
I wouldn't give up Stroman because I think he can come in and be at least a #5 starter for them. I would give up both Sanchez and Norris and I think a package based around them and maybe a guy like Mitch Nay and another young arm could get it done. I still think thats a lot to give up but they really need a number 2/3 starter to have a good chance at winning the division.
Well the reason there is a correlation with payroll to attendance is that when there are moves that happen in the offseason, people get excited and buy season tickets and flex packs which they will have to use, no matter how good or bad that team is in that given season.
Really seems this team has had such frustrating losses this year with a lot of games they really should have won. That said, there has been multiple problems with this team that could have been fixed this off season. Why Sierra is even on this team, really gets me. He has as much use as a pile of dirt. Actually a pile of dirt has more value..
