  1. Use Richards for 2-3 innings so he’s not available for the WC series.
  2. Yeah I was rooting for Jay Jackson. Tough break. Good guy with a good story. Not sure I would have trusted him in a playoff game but I can say the same about Richards given how he’s pitched, and he’s likely making it.
  3. Yeah the Twins could definitely beat the Jays in a 3 game series, but they are the far better matchup.
  4. CA Heineman, 1B Biggio, 2B Schneider, SS Espinal, 3B Chapman, OF Merrifield, OF Varsho, OF Eden, DH whoever How they get through 9 innings pitching wise is the question. They need to call up Francis or some other move. If only Manoah was available. When you need a loss, I can't think of a better SP to go to in 2023.
  5. Now that the Jays are in, yes, tank for the better position. The Astros can still win the West if they win tomorrow and the Rangers lose, so they should have something to play for. The Jays benefit by losing so put the shittiest lineup out there possible.
  6. Jays are in and don’t have to use Gausman tomorrow! We made it through this frustrating as hell regular season. Now time to get hot in October.
  7. If the Rangers win, then the Jays won't be starting Gausman, and they haven't called up Francis or anyone that could give them length, so the Jays might tank tomorrow regardless in that scenario.
  8. The only appropriate way for the 2023 Jays to make the playoffs is to have to use Gausman tomorrow, lose, but then still get into the playoffs because the Mariners or Astros lost.
  9. The IBB to Lowe was fine, it was the walk to Tapia was that inexcusable. I don't see the Jays scoring 4 runs here even with the ghost runner. Gotta hope the Rangers win or they will be forced to use Gausman.
  10. Man I would have preferred Yandy doing something rather than Tapia and Walls. f***.
  11. 4D chess by JS. I guess Hicks and Romano in the next 2.
  12. JS used Swanson against the bottom of the lineup, and bringing in Jimi to face 3-4-5. Sounds about right.
  13. He brought in Chad Green yesterday with the score I think 8-2 at the time, but goes with Richards here. aNaLyTiCs, probably.
  14. They should use the stupid behind the catcher camera shot only when Vlad is facing Criswell. It would spare us having to see it.
  15. The Jays are fortunate they are only down 2-0. This could have been a lot worse. Not sure I trust Trevor Richards given how he's pitched lately but Ryu is not looking good at all.
  16. Ryu facing 2-3-4 in the lineup is kinda scary here. If he can get you 2 times through the order with minimal damage then take him out and count your blessings.
  17. The Rays are a horrible matchup for Ryu. They might need to go to the pen early.
  18. If the Jays win 1 more and the Astros sweep the D-Backs, then the Rangers would still get in even if they were swept as they have the tiebreaker over the Mariners. If it’s a 3 way tie in the West, and the Jays clinch the 2nd WC, then Seattle wins the West and Houston gets WC3. Still so many ways this can end up. Jays better take care of business tomorrow.
  19. Texas going to get swept. Jays better win tomorrow.
  20. Yeah I don't think Cash gives a s*** about this series. If they play the Jays they play the Jays, if they play someone else then that's cool too. That's their mindset. Whatever, as long as the Jays can clinch without having to use Gausman.
  21. I was hoping the Mariners made it over the Astros, and I guess that’s still possible (only 1 back of HOU and they own the tiebreaker) but this definitely makes it harder for the Jays to back door their way in. They’ll actually need to win games now (hate when that happens).
  22. Chapman ruining what could have been a great night for the Jays.
  23. Bassitt's first start of the season was horrendous (9 ER, 4 HR) but he's had a really good season after that.
  24. I wonder if the Rays tank this weekend so they play the Jays and not the Astros.
