    Im still gob smacked about it. Romano was clearly fighting it from the first at bat vs Yandy falling behind 3-0. It reminds of the start JS left Bassitt in into the 6th vs TEX on 9/11. The Hound was grinding all game. He was just lucky to be in it at all thanks to some stellar D. It was a rare and obvious 5 and dive start. But nope. Left him in and we lost 10-4. Yet he will pull Kooch at random times when he has been shoving. Read the room JS. Mayza was the call there win or lose.

    With the extra wild card watching all these end of season playoff race games having so many fans living on the edge, has been pretty dam smart stuff by MLB, along with the new rules. Exciting baseball.

    We can argue whatever we want. It’s all just math at the EOD. We will know soon enough if we have enough Ws to play on, or not. It’s nice to win the ones that you have the highest win probabilities in, especially as we near the end. We just have to avoid a skid of consecutive Ls the last few games like TEX series. It’s going to be a photo finish.

    As historic and fun as his start was, we really have no idea what he will be in MLB over a large sample size.

    Thx. Just watched on PVR. Frustrating and good at bats from Diaz and Lowe. Just couldn’t finish them with 2 strikes. Dam. Our offence has to string something together and get a couple big hits now.

    Been watching World Cup rugby Ireland South Africa and lost track of start time. Turned on TV and 4-0! Yuck. Nice play Davis.

    That’s a huge win over Glasnow. Huge. Way to go Hound and some solid at bats. Big W!!

    Fair enough. Him being our position player WAR leader the way he has played too often says a lot. I’m not expert in D stats but they would have to be better than slightly above avg I would think to get him to that WAR with his bat only 10% better than LA.

    He has a 110 wRC+. Worth 3.2 WAR. A lot of that value is from D. Not sure how he could be average.

    Stringing together some good at bats here. Kirk needs to keep it rolling.

    He was good. Fastball was excellent. But the breaking ball and lack of use of it off the FB wasn’t peak Green. Love to see some more of that pitch. Love to see a Sarris breakdown on his stuff at this point.

    I actually might feel bad for him but don't know enough to speculate either way. Others in a position to do so can dive into his allegations. It sounds harsh, but why does anyone care 7 years later about a player with one freak 143 wRC+ season, coming out of nowhere at 31 years old. It sucks for him, but all have moved on.

    ATL gets shellacked today. Stuck on 96 W. Blows my mind they win the WS in 2021. They loose cornerstones Swanson and Freeman, but keep on rolling as an elite team.

    Listened with my son on radio on way back from his ball practice. Yelling and high fiving driving almost going off the road. The agony of Devers (man he is good) to Biggio and Chappy walking it off. Just watched highlights. Chappy could have been rung up on the check the pitch before his hit. Yikes! Way to go Jays! Digging deep at the right time.

    Talk about Cito and those old teams all you want. Been watching this team since inception and don’t mind it. FTR I don’t think you are a lunatic like Dick does lol. Maybe a touch of an acquired taste with a unique posting style and insights/humour I often enjoy.
