  1. amiwrong on the bat?
  2. Willie Mays Hayes hit like s*** most of this season. 81 wRC+ Great catch though.
  3. Yep. They never said it and we’ll never know, but the 2nd IL stint could have been from the body over compensating coming back from the first injury so quickly.
  4. TEXAS LOSES TO THE A'S! What a big series it will be against them. Jesus. Can my heart take it?!
  5. The math just doesn't work - giving up an out - also bunting is really hard in todays game with the V and stuff - you can foul/miss one or two strikes off and be in a count hole - pop it up or bunt it too hard to the wrong place and the lead runner is forced out anyway.
  6. Cue incoming Omar posting a Ricky Vaughn meme "Wild Thing" in response.
  7. Sac bunting is almost always dumb giving up outs. We don't need small ball. We need more bombs!
  8. Nothing makes me more crazy....Martin has 55 WAR...I think Perez has 15.
  9. .193 avg with a .246 slug the last 15 games. He was unconscious hot for a long stretch but thats over. He needs a lot of BABIP luck. His wRC+ is under LA now.
  10. Vlad Jr. has a fastball problem. His launch angle on four-seamers in the heart of the plate he's hit to pull side this year? -7 degrees. His overall rate of pulled air balls is down. His FG run value on fastballs has gone from +40 in 2021 to +2 this year. Now his contact ability remains borderline elite. Lowest K% of his career. He's still 93rd percentile in exit velo (was 99th in '21). But an adjustment is necessarily to do more damage on the pitch types, fastballs, he faces half of the time. The good news is, plenty of guys (including Bryce Harper +45 FG runs vs fastball in '15, +7 in '16) have made it. He's still at an age when most guys are debuting in the majors. Thoughts on Vlad, the Angels, and more here: thescore.com/mlb/news/27086…
  11. Not sure. DickPole came in hot and said he put big money down on Jays getting 95 Ws. I don't think he is in the money on that one. Such a weird year. Teo and Vlad have the exact same wRC+, and Gabby Moreno has outslugged Kirk. Today begins the final push. Go Jays!
  12. Seattle has Castillo going tonight. Their pitching has been so strong. They lost Robbie Ray to the IL to start the season and traded Sewald at the deadline, hardly skipping a beat.
  13. Good post. Back to the Ignore List for ol' Chester the Molester and his weird un-baseball s***.
  14. Well I'm glad to see you are sticking with your low key under the radar Avatar at least!
  15. Is THE SHERIFF losing a couple MPH off his fastball? People are asking.
  16. If he is Uggla thats a big win for the Org at 2B. Peak WAR for Biggio 2.7 and Espy 2.3
  17. LGJ with his 23rd bomb today and down the stretch drive regains WAR leadership over Varsho whose bat has gone cold the last 15 gms.
  18. Only way to be. Davis has had a historic start but this a humbling game of failure most times for most, over the long haul.
  19. That looked like vintage Green. touched 97 too. Best outing of the 3 and all progressively better.
  20. I didn't think that ball had any chance off the bat down like that. Thought it was a can of corn to LF. Brutal.
  21. Another quality outing from Ryu, albeit short. Man we really need to hold them now Silver Fox and get on the sticks.
  22. If ever there was a game this season where we were set up for a sweep and needed one, this is it! LETS GO JAYS! BRING THE LUMBER!
  23. He wasn’t cheap and who knows how year 2 and 3 go but one would have to say he has been very solid in 2023. With Manoah cratering the importance of the value from Kooch, Hound, return of Ryu and Berrios has been pivotal. The amount of innings eaten by the Hound so far is impressive. Especially with JS in the dugout!
  24. Bassitt 2.1 WAR 4.42 FIP and 173 IP Quite a season
