  1. Brash 106 Ks out of pen. Huge jump and catch by Moore. Wow.
  2. Everyone including since Ash has had a lot less to money to spend than the 2023 team. We have a $93M rotation alone. JPR I didn’t care for although with more money and 3 wildcard spots it might have looked a lot different.
  3. My son and I will be watching and hoping this is a sound called shot that plays out.
  4. Yep. Bad over pay. Kid isn’t a FA until 2029.
  5. He has gone 2 for us least once. Pretty sure. Maybe more.
  6. Walked the unwalkable. Changed the whole inning.
  7. 5 hits so far. Lucky to be tied honestly. Let’s hold em. This is a game we need.
  8. Not sure when JS et al will clue in the silver fox ain’t what he was in the first 2/3 of the season. He has been good hitting. Ramirez wearing us out.
  9. That and your home run will get you some noise Brandon. This is awesome.
  10. Kirk flashing the wheels. Love this. Keep it going. Get Kirk in.
  11. Simply cannot get Yandy out. Let’s get one more out Kooch.
  12. I hear you, but Hound gets its allllll into his delivery. Reaches way back to get 94. Its kind of a funky delivery. They have done a million studies on trying to predict arm care...prevent arm injuries' and whats best best practices are. Pitch counts, routines, max efforts, diet, strengthening, stretching etc etc etc. I went through endless seminars on it for Baseball Alberta etc who got ahold of detailed analysis for MLB etc. At the day there are some key basics. but its pretty dam random unfortunately.
  13. Ya, I buy that to some degree. Ryu is a big exception. We have 5 more years to pay Berrios - 2 on Hound and 3 on Gausman. Many miles to go. I think SEA also thought Ray would stay durable when they signed him too. Always comes down to risk assessment and luck. If the argument is the FO thought this through and in considering the deals and made then right bets its hard to disagree now. And Max I never said it was "dumb luck". I'd call it smart luck.
  14. How many times were Ray and McClanahan pushed over 100 pitches this year? There are so many variables, including luck. Ray was pretty arm healthy, until he wasn't. He had the handle as durable in his tight pants too.
  15. I give him some credit too. For this year its worked out well, and its a good thing because its a mo' money $93M/year entirely off the FA shelf rotation. Getting Ryu and Green back worked out well, as it was never a sure bet. Green could have been another Kirby Yates. Losing Manoah did not. We got very lucky on rotation health. No Robbie Ray or McClahanan situations.
  16. 200 is the new 300. Well done Hound!!
  17. Full on E for Chapman. Don’t see that often. Just missed it going to his left and off his glove.
  18. A massive BELT. That was simply awesome. More please.
  19. Love me some home runs. Atta boy Chappy!
  20. Laika posted a list. Nothing great but some good pieces. Hard to say who might have been available depending on the deal. Nobody that I know saw the Berrios deal coming in 21. I really thought they might surprise us again seeing the under performance they were seeing.
  21. I don't get why they didn't add an impact bat (s) at the deadline knowing the underperformance. I don't buy that nobody useful was available. In 21 Soler, Rosario and Pederson raked. Soler had come down off a 48 HRs and 136 wRC+ in '19. Pederson sucks against LHP but has a 130 wRC+ career vs RHP. Rosario is a LA bat but got hot at the right time. Useful pieces that didn't cost much. 2/3 had a offensive MLB track record and upside. GMs have to be good to be lucky and lucky to be good. Davis has been found money but no MLB history of success. Clements or Horwitz same. It comes down to your teams needs/window and willing sellers. Sellers are going to influenced by the offer value and where there team is positioned at the deadline. We never really know who is being discussed as most of the talks we never hear about. Nobody expected AZ to pry Sewald away when they were both in contention.
  22. No. I don't think so anymore with 3 wildcard spots. Pre wildcard yep. Goalposts have moved.
