    A rebound specialist apparently.
  2. Twitter is not nearly old school enough for Gruber.

Seems like an especially lazy criticism given that he came through the NCAA.

The announcers' made some reference to this guy being an Analytics darling. You would think that would make it a popular pick.

I thought this was who you wanted?
  6. If it was a smaller league, it would be a no brainer but I just checked again and it's a 30 teamer and that really changes things. Three young productive if not spectacular players is worth A LOT in a 30 teamer. That being said, it doesn't sound like it will cost that much anyways.
  7. Why not all three? I'm a bit of a Schwarber skeptic but at the same time I don't see any of those three having comparable fantasy upside.
  8. Thanks I appreciate the thoughtful answer. It's pretty sick that Barca fielded Iniesta, Xavi and Messi all at the same and in their prime. That's some seriously insane play-making ability to have all on one side.
  9. There's a list of players that the guy wanted ITT. Nick C is on it. There is no assumption at all.
  10. Amputation imminent.
  11. It never even occurred to me until now that his initials were WTF.
  12. I'm not really qualified to answer that question. I'm just throwing it out there.
  13. Hey, do you know anything about a Division 2 Senior called Corey Wood who played for University of Arkansas, Monticello? I was at a wedding during the draft and he was in attendance waiting for a call he didn't get. He's won all kind of awards and stuff. I would figure he would have had appeal as a cheap senior but you know a lot more about this stuff than I do.
  14. Probably posting pictures of Niagara Falls and for the record, Phoenix sprawl is brutal.
  15. It wasn't that cold. That picture was taken at dawn. The snow was gone as soon as it got sunny. This picture was taken around noon the same day. http://www1.gnb.ca/0003/images/IMG_20140201_192210.jpg

  17. Yeah Road Runner is great. The precise scoring really makes it. You don't really notice this is a kid but as an adult, what I pay attention to is how the orchestra punctuates every little thing.
  18. For some players, it has to do with a kind of self preservation instinct vis-à-vis their own legacies. Jim Palmer's claim to fame is his his run of 8 twenty win seasons in 9 years. He doesn't want to be told that his most famous accomplishment is kind of meaningless. Jack Morris is the same way. He's clutching on to that whole "most wins in the 80s" thing even though that's just a quirk of arbitrary endpoints.
  19. He also doesn't editorialize which is refreshing.
  20. That's not really how trades work. Both parties have to agree to the player.
  21. At least he made the out.
  22. I wonder if Wok has entered that dad joke contest yet.
  23. Is Iniesta the best player of his era? I mean everyone talks about Messi but maybe there's a bit of a goal scorer bias there? Iniesta is f***in' boss and the list of accomplishments for Iniesta led teams is staggering.
  24. Going to be busy the rest of the weekend. I need to send someone a list.
