  1. Gary Thorne is proof that if you have a deep authorative voice, you can litterally say anything and be a broadcaster.
  2. I wonder if catching a knuckleball by forcing you to be quieter and wait longer on the pitch makes you a better framer? JPA saw a big improvement last year and I think it might be because he worked with Dickey in the off-season.
  3. He looked really good on that. I don't remember him being a good framer but I guess it's hard to say since he mostly catches Dickey.
  4. Nice pick. I was considering him when I drafted Shawn Kelly. Probably the best player on the board in terms of pure value.
  5. I got an email that I was up so I made a pick but now I'm confused.
  6. The most annoying is the player who isn't productive.
  7. I don't like Sanchez either so that's hardly the point. I'm just noticing a general trend where Law draws conclusions about guys based on minimal exposure. I'm starting to think he might be full of s***. As for Sanchez, I don't need Law to tell me that Sanchez is spinning his wheels in the minors. That's obvious from the stat sheet.
  8. I have to admit I'm somewhat skeptical of Law's reinvention as some sort of old scout. Seems like it just gives him an excuse to jump to conclusions.
  9. Sean Doolittle wins the Internet.
  10. I'm regretting I didn't go with any starting pitching so far. I really like Erlin but I think I just assumed he wasn't available and I thought Billingsley would stick around longer.
  11. From what I understand this was part of the A's game plan and wasn't limited to Sogard making the man-child look even dumber. If anything, his beef was with the A's coaching staff much less Sogard much less Sogard's family not that the Oakland A's or anyone should let bruised egos get in the way of finding a strategic edge (an extra 2% if you will). This is no different than Maddon exploiting reverse platoons or Butterfield using positional shifts.
  12. Dude still looks fit.
  13. Mods, I may have accidentally reported BTS ITT. Please ignore.
  14. Will the Cubs be scouting Sanchez tomorrow?
  15. Since he's out of options, that will be the beginning of the season.
  16. It's a shame GOSE is such a garbage hitter and that HE MAKES SO MANY OUTS ON THE BASES because he could be a monster WITH SOMETHING RESSEMBLING AN ALL AROUND GAME.
  17. Yeah, it seems like he dosn't think very highly of the Jays org although I'm not sure how that started. I'd like to think that there's a least some sentimental attachment to the uniform that could sway him in a trade scenario. I might as well believe that since it's entirely hypothetical anyways.
  18. It's a shame Reddick is such a garbage hitter because he would be a monster with any kind of offense.
