  1. He sheered them.
  2. Yahoo! was acting up at the time but now that's it's stable I used it to message him that way as well.
  3. I think they would have to take Navarro AND Romero to offset that salary.
  4. Comes and goes. I managed to make my Desclafani add.
  5. Right handed bats really aren't an issue especially with Navarro still around. A healthy Dirks is a potential godsend.
  6. I actually have both him and Oberholtzer ahead of Karns but I'll gladly take all three.
  7. I'm taking Desclafani as soon as I can get Yahoo! to work.
  8. Never mind. I checked again and he's there. I'm dumm.
  9. O.K. That makes sense. I checked the sheet on my phone but maybe I have an older version.
  10. Yahoo! is jamming up on me for some reason but I want Matz.
  11. So what of the suggestion put out by Gregor Chisolm that Dirks could be healthy enough in the mix? On the surface, that's a positive. He's still estimated to be7-10 days from baseball activities but that's a lot closer than most of us thought. Should we take some solace in this or just assume a "I'll believe it when I see it" stance?
  12. Not missing adds is my biggest objective this year. I think that's the key to a quick turn-around.
  13. At any point, you should identify who would be the first guy you'd drop if something comes up.
  14. Holly s***. That was one hell of a prank. Seem kind of... unsafe?
  15. Posted this in another thread but might as well put it here too: Gregor ChisholmCompte certifié‏@gregorMLB Dirks will start baseball activities in 7-10 days. He could join Major League camp later this spring and enter the mix. #BlueJays
  16. Not really the time to give up a long term assett. For now its best to evaluate intermal options (specifically how soon Dirks can be ready) while keeping an eye on who other teams will cut.
  17. And then he goes and he uses that to leverage more out of me in the Rondon deal. At least I can take solace that Rondon ended up in the hands of nice guy, Dinger.
  18. Basically confirms what we all thought. An injury to either Bautista or Donaldson would be devastating. On the bright side, losing Bautista (or Encarnacion for that mattter) probably hurts a little less now that Donaldson's in the fold instead of Lawrie.
  19. That's insane. If true he would basically be the top prospect in baseball.
  20. So if you don't think not signing Melky dictated the Saunders trade, why do you argue that Martin cost us Happ? Sounds like you would have traded Happ for Saunders either way.
  21. Yeah I don't know how in one breath he can argue that Martin cost us Happ and then in another argue that Saunders would be around if Melky were signed.
  22. Sure, let's bring in new pitchers but leave a bad catcher behind the plate. It's not like that's never back-fired on the Jays or anything. Martin DOES improve the pen and the rotation. Martin DIDN'T prevent the Jays from acquiring Travis. So yeah it cost us Happ and Melky and though it's annoying to be paying 5 million to Navarro, none of that makes up for the overall value provided. The signing was a clear win. Nice try though.
  23. K-Rod signs with the Brewers. Broxton is probably worth less than Hawkins now.
