    Is there a track record of health/success for diabetic baseball players? It would suck to conclude that a diabetic player is basically cursed but maybe that's the case?

    Gregor Chisolm calls it the most interesting decision because Gregor Chisolm isn't a very good writer. The Jays didn't take a disgruntled ex closer off Washinston's hands to just make him a disgruntled ex closer here. He's here to provide a good high leverage performance while also collecting saves. That much should be obvious to anyone not tying themselves into knots pretending they have something interesting to write.

    No but he's not a generational talent as a reliever either. It's ultimately a low stakes decision.

    Any reason why Braun, Fowler and Gattis are showing as unowned?

    At least he wasn't activated and Boxy doesn't have to squeeze him past the cut and DL him. One farm spot out of 12 isn't too much to dedicate to stash a guy like Bird.

    I suppose if they really believe in Sanchez they could explore transitioning McCann to Greg Bird's suddenly open role but I'm not so sure that they have that kind of faith in him.

    He also doesn't play a position where throws are important. I could see something like this ruining a defense first shortstop's career. Bird might be o.k. though it definitely sets his career back dramatically.
