    Well since he's hasn't effectively re-established himself following the TJ shouldn't you be a little concerned (not that I disagree with the pick)?

    If you're looking for someone who at least theoretically belongs to the elite tier, he's your guy. It's always tempting to make a pick like this when you feel a drop off in quality is coming but adjusting for injury is tricky. Sometimes merely pushing a player to the back of his theoretical tier is too small a correction.

    Always tricky to try and read the minds of 19 other guys. This is about right. Waiting a round or two is counting on him to be undervalued. That being said, you could also just talk yourself into a healthier guy and let the chips fall where they may.

    Yeah, I mean all you can do is put your cards on the table. With 20 people, there's no way it will work perfectly for everyone.

    If I'm sitting in a hotel room at the end of the day and there's an opportunity to do fantasy stuff, that's fine but I prefer to plan like I'm going to be off the grid the whole time and for others to not have high expectations about my availability. That's just what works best. On some trips, you find yourself with way more idle time than you expected but sometimes you really don't have any. Going to be a driver for a group of professional photographers on an Iceland trip. Should be a time.

    It's interesting to get the impression that the Jays are operating within the wider world of baseball. For a long time, it's felt like a lot of personnel decisions were made within a very narrow backwards looking frame of reference (bringing back Beaston, bringing back Cito, bringing back Gibby).

    Really depends on the type of traveling you're doing though even when you do have wifi access, you quite simply have better things to do.

    f*** I'm old. It never even occurred to me that it would be anything other than Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Do young people even listen to Pink Floyd anymore or has that ship finally sailed?

    He was half a season closer to free agency and had carried his breakout level play into that season. Both those things make a huge difference.

    The Jays would know more about Saunders health than any of us. If he were truly f***ed, they would have cut him. Now that doesn't mean we shoudn't be cautious in our expectations but if the Jays felt comfortable not only paying him but also jettisoning Revere than there's got to be SOMETHING there.

    Jose was a lot of risk. EE was just a huge solid by the player. He was inches away from FA and surely left money on the table to stick around.
