Slim but it's happened. Off the top of my head, a DB for Dallas when they beat Pittsburgh in the 90s and a I believe a DB from Tampa Bay won it when they won and maybe Ray Lewis too.

Well it's massively overplayed at this point but I think it's closer to classic funk than anything on the radio these days. I found it pretty refreshing in that context.

I wonder if his apparent anti-analytics bias really matters in the roles he's played. Shapiro clearly values him and doesn't seem to mind. It's not like anyone is asking him to be GM.

This is key. Bautista may want to stay a Jay but he'll expect a competitive offer as he should. -
Jenkins was out of options and was a long shot to grab one of the last bullpen spots so might as well DFA him now instead of later. TB has had rumoured interest for awhile. We'll see if they grab him. My guess is he doesn't get claimed and he spends another year providing depth from Buffalo.

Looking to turn some young pitchers into picks from a group that includes Conley, Desclafani, Erik Johnson, Skaggs and A.J. Cole. Can easily keep the pitchers past the cut to facilitate deals. Edit: Heck, I'll throw Jungmann into that group too even though I just acquired him. Further edit: Might as well put Chatwood in the mix too.

It's no big deal but I was a bigger fan when I thought it was a MiLB deal. That being said, Shapiro and Atkins would know a thing or two about Floyd from their Cleveland days. If they've concluded that he's worth a MLB deal as a reliever than they've come to that conclusion from a place of knowledge.

I can live without Edwin IF Bautista is signed. Signing one of the two seems like the best balance of what makes sense from an emotional point of view and what makes practical sense. -

That ultimatum his agent issued kind of made it seem like Edwin already has one foot out the door. -
Seems like a waste of what little starting depth the team has. That being said, recent health issues could force that change.
