    Nah Brian Wilson is totally committed to his bit. Biagini just likes to throw in a joke every now and then which he clearly telegraphs as jokes. Otherwise, he mostly gives the kind of straight answers anyone else would give. I guess by normal sports interviews standards, he is mildly amusing and that's good but it's not nearly as strained or as weird as people are making it out to be.

    Just out of curiosity... Where you eyeing Michael Fullmer? The fact that you took him very early in the LOD draft influenced me to take him early here but nobody batted an eyelash at that choice

    Mini rant (not related to tonight's game but just something that crossed my mind): I really wish managers and Gibby specifically would pay more attention to times through the order instead of the 100 pitch count. I'm not saying pitch counts don't matter but 100 is a completely arbitrary threshold. Much less arbitrary is how many times the batter has seen the pitcher. There's a much more quantifiable drop-off for each time through the order than pre and post 100 pitches.

    Would basically start for one of Smoak or Saunders against every LHP and do a fair amount of pinch running, pinch hitting and spot duty on the side.

    It seems like he either pitches well of doesn't really get punished when he doesn't. He didn't look nearly as good as a starter last year as he does this year but his ERA was still a very respectable 3.55.

    Yeah worst in the world is rich. Among the worst for North American sports maybe but that's nothing on the world scale. Also this probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm francophone but it just seems to me like the Habs have a huge, massively ignorant, casual following. I don't mean that as a knock on the Habs or Habs fandom in general but the casual fan is usually pretty ignorant and they have A LOT of casual fans.

    The mods could have easily banned more people if we're being honest. The board was anarchic last night. I don't think any mods were following the GDT. I do it from time to time but I find keeping up with the thread pretty time consuming and somewhat tedious and when if I really fall behind I usually don't bother. That being said the mod presence does seem to make a difference. It always goes better when you can intervene before things really escalate. I don't love coming in after the fact with the ban hammers because by then it gets really hard to single out any blame and feels a bit unfair.

    Same. Had a shot at him in a bunch of other leagues including one where I drafted Pujols.

    Yeah absurdly good for a no cost add. All I had to do was keep him past the cut. The only sensible alternative would have been Justin Bour who I flipped instead.
