If you use Montero to pinch hit than you can actually save 'Zeke to pinch run. That's been an issue lately where it's quite obvious that Gibby has no faith in Dominguez. -

Dominguez really wasn't providing much value. There were numerous opportunities to use him as a pinch hitter the last couple of games and Gibby preferred to use his main pinch runner instead. I'm not saying Dominguez is good or anything but main bat off the bat should theoretically be his role. If he's not going to be used that way than he might as well be in the minors. This probably means we'll see Montero replace Tepera soon. -
O.K. so this thread got way out of hand. I gave Smokey a ban for threats. I gave Gruber a frankly well overdue ban for his numerous abusive posts. I don't know if that's entirely fair or not but I felt I just needed to step in because the board is going to s***. They're not the only ones who have crossed the line. I don't think I need to tell you who the rest of you are. Drop your beefs and calm down. I'm going to be real quick with the ban hammer until things get back to normal.

God what a buzzkill that OT was. Raptors should have just went quietly and not taken away from the Jays walkoff.

I can't think of a better replacement for Derozan as main shooter and principal source of irritation.

That's not true. Lowry can contribute in other ways even if he's not the same player without the shot.

I think it's one thing for Gibbons to lobby to keep a player that's out of options but for him to advocate for a player who has them against a similar (if not superior) player who doesn't wouldn't wash with the front office. No need to overthink this.

There's just no reason to even contemplate the implications of putting Barney on waivers when you know you can simply demote Goins.

Yeah DFAing Barney when you can demote Goins would just be lousy asset management. Having Goins a phone call away should Tulo go down or Travis encounter a set back while also having Barney available off the bench would be a good setup.

He has options. Could be demoted. Might be a good idea to not even wait for Travis to do it. He's been pretty bad.
