  1. I was going to suggest they might be calling him up because his arm is the freshest but he pitched yesterday so I guess they just want a closer look at this guy. Eleven walks isn't that bad when it comes against 25ks. I'd certainly rather have a legit strikeout guy over more garbage from the likes of Venditte and Tepera.
  2. Well maybe if they were very careless and we're taking unapproved supplements but that's not Colabello's story. He says everything he took was from the coaching staff.
  3. I thought so too but I guess John Lott was just making a joke.
  4. Couldn't really relax until the Edwin homerun.
  5. If Zaun says trending one more time...
  6. Now that Burns is here as the 3rd infielder, Gibby is pretty much insulated from making that decision.

  8. You know better than to put weight in a sample like that.
  9. I don't see any reason not to bat Pillar at leadoff against lefties given the season he's having.
  10. So has the Pillar/Saunders leadoff platoon that many here were proposing in the off-season been enacted?
  11. Compounding things is the fact that Holland was originally scheduled for this start and they pushed him back.
  12. This seems a bit lazy. Jays will pick Quantrill because of his dad? Seems like a thin (even dubious) rationale.
  13. Lineup has too many outs in it. It's not Goins's fault that half the lineup is slumping but his spot is the easiest one to upgrade. With everyone else, you're just waiting for positive regression.
  14. That they saw something in him isn't egregious just the level of commitment. Probably should have been on a MiLB deal or something.
  15. The Rays need to admit to themselves that they made a mistake tying themselves to LOMO and just let go of that failed experiment.
  16. First comment was interesting. It mirrors what a lot of people on here are saying. Pitch recognition just doesn't seem there anymore.
  17. This was probably posted earlier but I missed that Bo Schultz is 5 games deep in his rehab stint.
  18. Cyborg's gotta be yanking our chain here. You can't really complain about pitching changes in the 13th.
