  1. Manoa has absolutely zero trade value right now. Give him another shot this year, he's still only 26. From videos he looks to be in great shape and has lost a bunch of weight. I think he got humbled last season and will come back strong looking to prove himself. Too soon to give up on him already, he's proven he has the tools to be an elite pitcher, he simply came into to the season last year out of shape and cocky thinking he had it figured out. MLB hitters adjusted and served him a big piece of humble pie.
  2. With what Vladdy is projected to get in Arb this year, Bichette contract extension last year is looking like a steal now. Bo would easily be getting 20M in are this year had he not signed that extension. He's only getting $11M this year and $16M next year.
  3. Jays need to get Joc Pederson. He's a perfect fit for the Jays. Gives us a legitimate DH and a power LH bat. He would be the perfect replacement for Belt. Need to make this happen even if it means adding an extra year to the contract.
  4. Your not winning any games when you score zero runs. 1 run in 2 games is a pathetic display. While I think it was crazy that pulled Berrios. That didn't cost them the game.

  6. Still think Bauer is gonna have trouble finding an MLB team to play on. Even before all of these assault allegations he was known as a clubhouse cancer everywhere he went. His teammates couldn't stand him.
  7. Yeah it will be a big game for both of them since the division winner will get a bye to the ALDS. Not sure I'd rather play the Twins though. They've been on fire lately and have better starting pitching then the Rays.
  8. Jays can still win tomorrow and finish in the 3rd WC spot if the Astros win and the Rangers lose. Bottom line is the Astros need to win tomorrow for the Jays to have a chance to play the Twins. Astros lose and we play the Rays no matter what we do tomorrow.
  9. No he's not, he's excellent when he comes into the game in a save situation (36 of 40 converted). He should absolutely not be used in tie game scenarios, that's when he's awful.
  10. Why does Schneider continually put Romano in the game in Non save situations. He's terrible when he doesn't come into the game with a lead. When he comes into the game when it's tied He's awful. How has Schneider not figured this out yet.
  11. Pitch wasn't even close, f*** this ump is terrible. When are we getting Robo umps?
  12. Crazy to think Vladdy still has a good chance to reach an .800 OPS, .270 Avg, 30HRs and 100 RBIs in an extremely down season. This just shows you how much talent he has. All these numbers considering he's had extremely bad BABIP luck this year. Despite what people say, he is still absolutely a generational talent, not someone we want to trade away. I'd actually look at resigning him now to a long term deal while his stock is low. If he puts up another 2021 type season next year his value will skyrocket. I would be willing to take a gamble this offseason inking him to 6-7 year deal if we could get it at a discount.
  13. Yet another heartbreaking loss at the Trop. How does Schneider leave Romano in against the Lefty, when Mayza was warm and Romano clearly dealing with a finger issue. This was an absolute no brainer.
  14. 6-4 techninally. We have 10 games left after tonight. Realistically we can probably go 4-6 and still get in.
  15. Stros, Rangers and Ms all win today, Jays need to keep pace!
  16. I have no problem with the current schedule, playing more games against teams in your division, glad it's a little more balanced now at least, but do away with the priority seedings for division winners. Could even still guarantee that division winners get playoff spots, but don't give them priority 1,2,3 seedings. Just seed the teams based on record alone.
  17. Jays could potentially finish with the 3rd best record in the AL and have to play on the road in the WC round, while Minnesota has the 6th best record and gets potentially 3 home games, that's f'ed up. Now with a more balanced schedule, really need to rid of priority seeding for division winners. Teams in perennially strong divisions like the AL East always get shafted. If Jays were in the Central they'd be cruising to a division title right now instead of battling for a playoff spot.
  18. Jays post season odds went from 75% down to 40% after getting swept by Texas and now back up to 85% with the sweep of Boston. What a roller coaster ride. We basically need to play .500 ball now over the last 12 games and we should take a WC spot, preferably WC 3 and we then get to face the Twins. Much better matchup then having to face either the Rays or Os. Bottom line though is just get in and anything can happen. With the pitching staff we have, I could see us going deep, especially if the bats heat up at the right time.
  19. For all the hate JS gets, his decision to pinch hit Biggio for Chapman, single handedly saved the game for the Jays today. Score a win for Schneider today. He made all the right moves. Chapman looked pissed too, but these are the tough decisions that good managers make, even if it pisses off a veteran player.
  20. He's gonna be a Dodger I bet!
  21. With the Jays winning yesterday their playoff odds are now st 59.1% according to BR. Even with getting swept by Texas, we still have an excellent chance of making the post season. We need to play well, but we don't need to be perfect. 8-6 over our last 14 games likely gets us in. Just need to focus on winning series from here on out.
  22. What you fail to factoring in is that the Jays will gain a minimum of 4 games against either Texas or Seattle because they play each other 7 times. Could be more if one of those teams wins 5 or 6 of those games. If either one of those teams struggle down the stretch were in. My guess is 88-89 wins will likely be enough to capture the 3rd wild card spot.
  23. People really need to come off the ledge. Jays still have a 53% chance of making the playoffs according to BR. Yes it sucks that we've lost 3 in a row to Texas but we can just as easily turn things around and win 4 of the next 5 ect...At the end of the day we just need to get there and anything can happen. We need to likely go 10-6 or even 9-7 to get in. Season is far from over at this point.
  24. It's a huge blessing that Texas and Seattle play each other 7 times over their last 18 games. Jays basically need to 10 of thier last 18 to make the playoffs. Need to hopefully split the series against Texas and we are gonna b e in good shape. Take 2 of 3 from Boston and play .500 ball against Yankees and Rays should get us in.
  25. Dude literally forgot how to pitch after the 100th pitch. Going from pitching 25 scoreless innings to literally forgetting how to pitch. What a crazy game!
