  1. Teoscar doesn't catch that ball
  2. Since when is a quality start considered a s***** line? If you would of told me before the game that Bassitt would go 6 innings and give up only 3 runs, I'd take that in a heartbeat.
  3. f*** off Bichette, when are we gonna move this guy to 2nd base, better yet we a need a DH.
  4. Wow, Ohtani looked lost in that at bat
  5. When there is a clear equipment malfunction with pitch com device, a violations should not be called. Ridiculous! I like the pitch clock but violation exceptions need to be clarified.
  6. Let's keep this GDT streak going! Hopefully Bassitt has a bounce back game tonight and we can keep the sticks hot! Gonna be a tough one tonight. Suprised to see Luplow in the lineup, are we giving up on Belt already? Also no Varsho in the lineup? TOR Lineup C Bassitt RHP G Springer ® RF B Bichette ® SS V Guerrero Jr. ® 1B M Chapman ® 3B W Merrifield ® LF A Kirk ® C S Espinal ® 2B J Luplow ® DH K Kiermaier (L) CF LAA Lineup P Sandoval LHP T Ward ® LF M Trout ® CF S Ohtani (L) DH H Renfroe ® RF J Lamb (L) 1B B Drury ® 2B G Urshela ® 3B L O'Hoppe ® C D Fletcher ® SS
  7. 2 for 2 on GDT threads. I'll keep making them until we lose.
  8. Lyles is trash, we better light him up today.
  9. I think Belt has a breakout game today, hits a HR and a few RBIs
  10. Let's win the series today boys and carry some momentum into LA! Starting Lineups TOR Lineup Kevin Gausman (RHP) B Bichette ® SS V Guerrero Jr. ® DH D Varsho (L) LF M Chapman ® 3B W Merrifield ® 2B B Belt (L) 1B D Jansen ® C C Biggio (L) RF K Kiermaier (L) CF KC Lineup Jordan Lyles (RHP) B Witt Jr. ® SS M Melendez (L) C S Perez ® DH V Pasquantino (L) 1B E Olivares ® LF M Massey (L) 2B H Dozier ® 3B N Pratto (L) RF N Eaton ® CF
  11. Solid game! I feel like Manoah didn't even pitch all that well even though the Royals only managed 1 hit. Tons of hard hit balla tonight both ways. That park was a pitchers dream tonight. At the Dome several of those deep fly outs would of been HRs. Nice to see the Pitching keep up in the game. Our pitching literally only need to be replacement level and we'll win 90+ games. Hopefully Gausman can keep it rolling tomorrow and the we can get some offense to support him for once.
  12. No one created a GD thread yet, wtf? Anyways? Chapman crushed that, balls aren't carrying tonight.
  13. This ump has been absolutely brutal tonight! Pitches 6 inches off the plate being called strikes. Robo umps now please!
  14. Are you dumb? We're not stealing a base down 3 runs in the ninth
  15. Dammit, so many missed opportunities today, at least we have top of the order coming up for the ninth against a closer that's not used to pitching more then 3 outs. I have faith!
  16. Of course it is! One of the best defenses in the league? Extremely deep lineup and one that could sustain a few injuries and not be completely crippled. 3 of our 4 bench players would be starters on any other team in the MLB. We may not have the Power lineup we've had in the past, but we have a much more balanced lineup that can hit, steal and take walks. Our pitcher staff is also very strong, and our bullpen is much better with the additions of both Pop and Swanson. This is a much better team then the 92 win team we had last year. If we get bounce back seasons from either Berrios or Kikuchi that's just a bonus and we will have Ryu and Chad Greene coming back in July as insurance as well.
  17. Chapman trying to do his best impression of Bichette, wtf was that?
  18. I honeslty don't mind the ghost runner rule, especially for regular season games. I'd much rather that, then having to endure a 19 inning game only to lose because you run out of pitchers. Remember losing to the Tigers on Canada Day 2016. We had to send both Ryan Goins and Darwin Barney to pitch cause we had no one left in the pen.
  19. So just out of curiosity, I compared game times from opening day this year to last year. The average game took 3h20m on opening day in 2022, this year the average game was 2h45m. That's a difference of 35 minutes less year over year. That's massive. I for one am a big fan of the new pitch clock, but would be in favour of only using it during the regular season like we do with the ghost runner rule in extra innings.
  20. Colorado, where pitchers careers go to die.
  21. Looking forward to seeing the Ump scorecard for this game. So many bad calls both ways. We need robo ump now! That one strike call Romano got wasn't even close!
  22. Merrifield was the only starter without a hit but still contributed with 2 walks and a run scored. This is the most balanced lineup we've had since our World Series days.
