  1. In the same vein, I think we could see some fireworks this series when you combine: The Yankees are still butthurt about the sweep a few weeks ago The Yankees proclivity to steal signs and cheat It's a big series between teams that don't really like each other Aaron Boone is a giant @$$hole The Yankees will deny that there is any sort of bad blood because they want to act like we are beneath them. But it's obvious that they HATE the Blue Jays.
  2. We need a teamwide plan on preventing the Yankees from stealing signs when they have a runner on second. They've stolen a few games this year by doing this.
  3. Rodon vs. Gausman Schittler vs. Scherzer Fried vs. Bassitt
  4. I hope Michael Kay and the Yankees have their passports ready! Sure is nice of them to make the trip north again so soon after last time lmao
  5. It is imperative that you block both JimCanuck and connorp immediately
  6. Why is that funny? if Schneider throws him 4 out of 5 days and needlessly warms up him I have concerns if Hoff doesn’t throw for 5 days he can often struggle pretty simple stuff
  7. I agree with the Boss on this one. I wouldn't want to give up a ton for a reliever. They are really volatile. Plus, I think the market overrates hard throwing relievers and underrates low velo guys. I'd target effective low velo guys for that reason. I would stock up on interesting low velo guys
  8. The Jays have a bad season = Ross Atkins sucks The Jays have a good season = Ross Atkins still sucks he's just lucky Am I doing this right?
  9. Lopez has a pretty crazy stat line. 11.37 K/9, 3.38 BB/9, and only a 22% groundball rate. He has a terrible fastball that sits at 90 mph but a good slider and changeup. Very low release point. I trust that Popkins will come up with a good game plan to once again destroy this soft tossing turd. His gimmicks don't work against us.
  10. Hoffman was due for a stinker. He had given up zero runs in his last 9 appearances. He also hadn't pitched in 5 days so he he will be good to throw at least 1 if not both the remaining games. Hopefully last night was him shaking the rust off.
  11. His stuff was insane tonight but the Jays are too good not to get to him eventually
  12. God the A’s are ass just pull Scherzer and let him rest his thumb and have Robinson Piñata close it out for a 12-7 win
  13. Vladdy mashes in minor league stadiums, he’s homering tonight.
  14. Nance was dealing in Buffalo. 6:1 K:BB ratio and a 2.63 FIP. Good time to bring him up and see if he is a guy that can stick past the trade deadline.
  15. The Gage Stanifers and Kenry Rojases stepping up like this is a great development for the farm system on the whole but they've also played their way into being good trade chips at the deadline. "The Top 10 pitcher in the system" types who make for great pieces in a trade package.
  16. You sold me on Sandy. Go get him Ross.
  17. Jays have a pretty good track record with veterans pitchers so if they can identify a mid rotation guy that they think they can get #2 starter production out of, that might be the route to go. Whether that's Alcantara or Keller or someone idk, but the pitching nerds in the FO can probably identify one that they can squeeze more juice out of.
  18. It seems like the Marlins could be a good fit in that they are playing a lot better and might be interested in a lot of our AAA guys to fill their holes.
  19. Seems like a pretty steep price for a cromulent middle reliever.
