    But anyway, Springer is starting to settle in as my preferred DH so I don't think Ozuna is a good fit. Even when Taters comes back, I'd put Springer there. He mentioned how he really likes to DH in a post game interview recently. He didn't divulge much but he said he was "able to do things he couldn't normally do". I know Frank Thomas loved it. He was in the clubhouse taking swings and watching video when the team was out in the field. I can only assume Springer is doing something similar. Given that his defense is starting to slip, I think it makes sense to DH most of the time from here on out.

    Ozuna's DV charge is completely overblown. There is a reason he was given a slap on the wrist for it by both law enforcement (charges were withdrawn) and MLB. There's video of it and on the body cam you can see him kind of push away his wife in the neck area. She looked like she was still using momentum toward him in that moment, and it's not hard to imagine that she was the aggressor just seconds earlier. Given that she threw a soap dish at him and cut his eye and was charged for it a year earlier and it starts to paint the picture. But anytime his name comes up on Reddit it's that "he's a piece of s*** abuser who should never set foot on the field again" or whatever else they want to call him.

    Some of his defensive value, in fact a lot of it, is probably due to him DHing at almost twice the rate he was last year. Of course Judge has DH'd 19 times as well.

    If we beat the Yankees tonight it's going to be a full blown panic/meltdown from that organization and fanbase. I will be switching to the Yankees broadcast as soon as we take the lead.

    If I was any good with computers I would edit Aaron Boone and Aaron Judge's faces on the guys hiding under the bridge and the guy banging the bottles would be George Springer and he'd be saying Yankees not Warriors.

    To put the Catching position in proper historical context, the greatest Catcher of all-time (Johnny Bench) has just 74.8 WAR. The best OFers have nearly 170. And in MLB history, only 8 times has a Catcher put up an 8 WAR or better season. Buster Posey had the highest season ever at 9.8 WAR in 2012. Raleigh is on pace for 11 WAR right now. But I suppose Judge's season is also historical. He's on pace to put up 12-13 WAR and that's only been accomplished by Bonds, Ruth and Gehrig. But f*** Aaron Judge. He plays for the Yankees and I hope he gets hurt. I'd vote for Raleigh.

    Couldn't be more proud of both you and myself (and the rest of Team Positive) for sticking with the team (and frankly the country for that matter) while the rest of the board tucked their tails and ran after a shaky April. I'm not surprised we agree on the MVP race either. Great minds think alike!

    I think it's a worthy discussion given Dumper's position. But I have a feeling it will work itself out over the course of the year as he comes back down to earth and Judge continues to hit.

    We were -180ish underdogs the past two days. Today we are -125 so the pitching matchup definitely seems more even. I do worry about Berrios' homer prone approach against a good home run team like the Yanks but Berrios has been pretty good against them in his career and has dominated them in TO (2.94 FIP). Their bullpen is more rested than ours and I would expect to see Devin Williams. Yariel and Fisher are probably unavailable today and Hoffman and Little could use another day. It would help if we could get Yimi up for Bruihl.

    Rays have two more vs. the A's and then @ Min, @ Detroit and @ Boston. Going to be very tight heading into the break but we've got a chance to take the lead.
