  1. With all the various platoon-types that we have on this team, when September callups happen we should have a pretty decent bench.
  2. I believe he has another year after this one for 11 mil.
  3. I used Klaasen's formula's: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/estimating-hitter-platoon-skill/ Where can I find NJH's?
  4. I got less than that, about .335 I believe. But still close. Run the numbers on Francisco vs. righties. I got .405 wOBA for that. 0_0
  5. I'd move Sanchez for Lester. 4 innings ago people had much different feelings about Sanchez.
  6. Man you have to consider it. Nolin and Nay would be better but not sure it would get it done.
  7. Jays in on Lester? And from Sean McAdam:
  8. Yeah it's not a bad podcast.
  9. Why did he ever quit that? He quit the Jays and then became a Giants fan.
  10. I posted it in another thread. Valencia's projected to be about a .330-.335 wOBA hitter against lefties from here on out.
  11. What do you put in between the brackets? It wouldn't work for me.
  12. For not being very fast Bautista is a pretty good baserunner. Picks his spots well and he has a variety of slides that he uses to avoid tags.
  13. Lol, Gardner has been bitching about that outside strike all series.
  14. I thought he was still cheap for some reason. That definitely lessens his value. But he's going to have about a 2 WAR season this year. He may not be able to replicate this, but just turning 27 maybe he can.
  15. Oh come on now, I never said Francisco was a stud.
  16. I agree. Why do they care so much?
  17. Yeah probably but 2 months of Headley vs. a controllable Francisco makes it closer. EDIT: Then you've got the prospects on top of it, whoever those prospects may have been.
  18. Hmm I'm not sure about that one. Given Headley's play you can't even be certain that he's much of an improvement over Francisco who we have under control. I'd probably pass as well.
  19. Despite playing lights out they are still 4.5 games out of the 2nd WC and need to jump 5 teams in the process. They have played themselves back in to it but they still have a long ways to go.
  20. While we are at it it wouldn't be a bad idea to kick the tires on De La Rosa or Anderson too. Perhaps even Hawkins.
  21. If he doesn't cost much he'd be a nice pickup. Good defensive player, hits lefties, and will have 4 years left of control after this year, meaning he could serve as the platoon partner with Rasmus for the remainder of this season and then platoon with Gose next season.
  22. Haha well it's a nice building although nothing spectacular. But it's right next door to Coors Field so a lot of the lesser paid players live in the nice apartment buildings near the field. The well paid stars all buy houses in a ritzy area called Cherry Creek. I've gone out for drinks with Ryan Wheeler before but since he was sent back to Colorado Springs I haven't talked to him in a while. I have heard of several of them living in my building or in others that are really close but I have probably walked right past some of them. Barnes is easily identifiable bc of the tats.
