    The doomsday narrative floating around isn't really accurate. The Jays had a 15-12 record in August. That's a .556 win percentage which is what the Yankees have for the season. The Yankees have gained 1 game on us since August 1st. We've blown a couple of games we shouldn't have, but every team does. And the Yankees put together a 7-game win streak against the ChiSox and Nats. Win today and win the series against the Yanks and the division is ours.

    If you didn't know anything about baseball and just read this guy's posts you would assume that the Blue Jays are the worst team in MLB. When in reality we have the best record in the American League lol

    I think trying to get another mph of velo back in the offseason would be a good goal. If he can do that and keep locating he should be okay as a backend SP.

    Maybe His Changeup gets a 63 Stuff+! But it's his most effective pitch so I dove into the cross tabs and the Location+ on his changeup is 124 lol He has a Location+ of 100 or better on all 5 of his pitches. It's pretty remarkable that he's been able to put up the season he has with arguably the worst stuff in baseball history. If he were white we would be talking about how crafty he is.

    Would love to see a crafty move where IKF gets pinch hit for his first plate appearance and Barger/Clement finish the game out. But who am I kidding. IKF is going 0-4 with 3 Ks...

    I don’t think I was wrong at all, a 6 man rotation during the stretch with no off days isn’t a bad move unfortunately the pen is taking a fat dump on itself lately and plans need to change meanwhile you’ve added a ton of post hoc reasoning to your “ramp up the starters” post but if it makes you feel any better send me your address and I will mail you a Swiss chalet gift card sir!

    Yes exactly, things ebb and flow over the course of 162 and in two weeks the bullpen will be fine and the highly regarded members of the board will be zeroed in on something else, claiming they rightly identified a team weakness all along (despite the fact that they thought we were a last placed team entering the season)

    Yeah the one move you could criticize Schneider for is pulling Nance too early

    lol that was not your reasoning at all you wanted to “ramp up” the starters to get them ready for the playoffs no mention of the bullpen being an arm short at all and even so, you wanted Bassitt or Berrios out of the rotation and in the bullpen and Lauer in . Bassitt spun a gem today if you didn’t notice

    Frustrating loss. I blame Little more than anyone. Thank god this 6 man rotation is done though. We’ve been short staffed and because the bullpen has been in a rut we are using more relievers than necessary on top of it. Multiple things compounding the struggles. Im hopeful the pen snaps out of it soon though. Lauer should be a solid long man and then we get another reliever on top of that with expanded rosters. Hopefully that can give the relievers a little rest and they get out of this rut.
