  1. Yeah I hear ya. On Twitter I see a ton of "let's get another right handed bat" tweets but if you do, you basically have to dump Straw. And Straw is a perfect bench guy come playoff time.
  2. Well said. I assume some of the Buffalo Boys could net decent relievers in 1v1 trades. I fully expect some of them to be dealt. Wouldn't be shocked by a Straw trade either if the Jays decide they want to upgrade there and acquire someone like Laureano. It seems like a contender with a s*** bench could use a guy like him.
  3. McMahon stinks and I'm glad the Yankees traded for him. On a contender, he's nothing more than a strong side platoon partner who should be hitting in the bottom 3rd of the lineup. He makes good money and the Yankees are cheaper than they used to be so he's eating up a bunch of payroll the next couple of years. He's not Suarez. He was the captain of the worst team in baseball history. Guy has a loser pedigree. If you're the Yankees you have to hope you can unlock something with the stick and get him to pull more flyballs into the little league part of your stadium. Otherwise, congrats Yankees you just got a strong side platoon partner for Peraza.
  4. https://awfulannouncing.com/mlb/michael-kay-don-mattingly-peacemaker-toronto-blue-jays.html Lmao Michael Kay is so shook
  5. Always buy low! Difference between Sandy and Keller isn't that big tbh, but you would be buying low on Sandy and buying high on Keller.
  6. Scherzer seems to be healthyish and Lauer is definitely solidifying himself as a guy so it does raise the bar on the kind of pitcher who can actually contribute. But on the other hand I want the AL East Crown and our SP depth isn't that great. I would not be shocked if Scherzer got hurt and/or Lauer starts to regress. Since June, Sandy has made 9 starts and he's averaging 6 innings a start with a 3.60 FIP. I definitely think he helps.
  7. Yeah this is their worst starting pitcher by far.
  8. We were down 1-0 and then I had to go to a work thing and now we are up 11-1 🤯
  9. Yeah it's one thing to have low K rates but this team is borderline historic in that regard. It's the strength of the offense which can lead to some frustrating games like on Tuesday where we lost a 1-run game with 11 LOB. But it can also lead to 8 run outbursts against an ace like Fried.
  10. Tigers are scuffling. Lost 9 of 10 and have only scored 9 runs in 6 games since the ASB. Here is my quick scouting report after 5 minutes on Fangraphs: Rotation Elite. Skubal is a stud followed by a very good 2-4. The one fringe guy they have is Montero who we get to face. Bullpen Solid but unconventional. Awful K rates but elite walk rates. About average when it comes to homers. Lineup Top 10ish on the season but trending down. Power is their strength. Looks like we will dodge Kerry Carpenter who should return after the weekend. Baserunning Great baserunning metrics but dead last in steals on the year. Defense Ranks 14th in MLB by most metrics. Dingler/Rogers duo are very good behind the dish.
  11. That Yankee defense is the most f#cked up things I’ve ever seen on a baseball diamond
  12. Yankees make 10 errors and Boone got tossed as the Jays clinch the season series lol Get bent New York lmaooooo
  13. Oh ok so every time I turn on my TV and he’s acting like an @$$hole it’s just an act
  14. The Yankees don’t play the game right, or well
  15. You just know Boone is throwing a fit in the visiting clubhouse right now lmao
  16. Yeah I like him too. Buying low on 2022 CY winner 2.5 years of control Just had TJS so he's unlikely to blow out his elbow for the remainder of his deal Good fit- never a huge K guy so our elite defense helps him more than most 75th percentile outcome he stabilizes the rotation and is a Bassitt replacement next year 25th percentile outcome he regains most of his lost form and is an SP2 Go get him.
  17. Good points everyone. I agree with you guys on developing him but against the Spankees and other big games I think we can consider sitting him against lefties once in a while...for now.
