    The Atkins haters are never going to give up We can see how the rest of this season shakes out, but barring any sort of epic collapse both he and Shapiro should be extended this offseason

    You have to wonder if they have too many individuals in the Front Office as well They have 100s of people working in Baseball Ops. At a certain point you would have to wonder if their top voices aren't always cutting through what could be a bloated and bureaucratic mess of a front office.

    Yeah it feels like on the whole we outplayed them over the course of the 3 games but we hit like dog crap with RISP in the two close games to drop the series. Frustrating but we have a 2 game lead with the tiebreakers and 12 of our final 19 games are at home (where we are 45-24 on the year). Off day today but I like the pitching matchups for us this series. Must win 2 out of 3. Berrios vs. Garcia Bieber vs. Alexander Gausman vs. Javier

    Hmm, maybe aggressive promotions finally caught up to him in 2024? That doesn't explain why he sucked so bad in the minors in 2025 though. His xwOBA is 2 points higher than his wOBA so he's not getting lucky really. His barrel% is super high though. Maybe he's just barrelled a few more balls than he normally will? High launch angle guys like that can see their averages crater if the ball isn't getting out of the park.

    Here's another thing you guys are going to tar and feather me for: Don't be surprised to see Ryan Borucki get put into the game in a BIG spot against a lefty. Lefties are 2 for 41 (both singles) against his Slider/Sweeper on the year. Borucki sucks against righties so they will need to be careful with pinch hitters and the 3-batter rule. But if Bellinger is up with 2 outs and runners on, Borucki very well could get the call.

    I knew I was going to get tarred and feathered for it but I wanted to let people know in advance to help stem the outrage lol

    They showed the numbers on Sportsnet the other day and it was shocking at how good IKF is against high velo (97+ mph). He's got BA's over .300 which makes him elite and Top 5ish in baseball. Clement may be good but I don't think he is anywhere close to that. I would like to see the numbers but I don't know how to work Statcast well enough to figure it out. And I suppose IKF sucks at hitting everything else so if he did get in the game Shitler could just spam his breaking balls and get him out that way. So I'm not necessarily even saying it's a good idea but don't be surprised if he draws a start tonight.

    Cam "Adolf" Shitler has been on fire lately. He throws really hard so I would not be surprised to see IKF (one of the best in baseball on BA against high velo) get the start tonight.
