  1. A-Rod's quote was hilarious coping. Glad Papi called him out. Paraphrasing: "Hey, if Fried pitches well we win that game." Lmao he didn't pitch well and on top of it that's not even true.
  2. Hopefully yesterday's bullpen performance was just guys knocking off some cobwebs after not pitching for over week. I expect us to play very well tomorrow but if the Yanks pull that game out, we've got a bullpen game for Game 4. I am pretty confident in our bullpen games. We've got a deep pen with a lot of good options to mix and match throughout a game. But that requires using some of your B relievers and they shook my trust a little last night.
  3. Me on my way to my Yankee fan coworker’s office this morning to ask him how his weekend went
  4. Yeah the Jays are out for blood. This thing ain’t getting back to TO.
  5. This isn’t little league where kids are tubing 60 mph fastballs down the pipe lol Guys are throwing 98 so if an injury affects your swing it makes you ineffective
  6. Kind of digging the choices they made. Jays pitching is going to get weird this series.
  7. Yeah I had just assumed they would be going with Warren. Gil has had maybe 2 good starts all season.
  8. We are pretty balanced against both righties and lefties. our short-side platoon guys are better fielders they are also better baserunners Vlad, Springer, Kirk, etc. gain the splits advantage Barger and Lukes make for great pinch hitters against the Yanks righty-heavy pen
  9. Sadly, it won't really matter because the owner is the true GM and he's still around.
  10. The Yankees will need to play better against the Jays than they did against the Sox. The Sox aren't very good right now. They have one playoff caliber starter and are effectively going with bullpen games in their other games, with a bullpen that isn't very deep. Despite this, they took the Yanks to the brink and in Game 3 the Yanks were lucky to score the runs they did with an xBA of .185. The Jays aren't going to be booting the ball all over the field like the Sox did. With that said, the Yanks do have a good lineup, a good rotation, and a good closer. Not going to be an easy series for the Jays.
  11. Vladdy somehow has better English than you do though
  12. This Sox-Yanks series going to 3 games is working out nicely for the Jays. Yankees If Bednar pitches tonight (seems likely), he'll have pitched in 6 out of the their last 7 games. Cruz, Williams, and Weaver are all in a similar boat. Boone's other options are mediocre relievers who are rusty. If Shitler doesn't eat very many innings, they probably turn to Warren which takes him out of Game 1 consideration against us. They are probably starting Gil at that point. Red Sox They only have 1 playoff starter in Crochet who needs to throw 120 pitches each game because they have to rely on Bello, Harrison, and Early as bulk pitchers in their other games. As long as the game is close, both managers will be emptying out their pens in a do-or-die game tonight. The off day will help them both a little, but even so their pitching is going to be a mess entering the ALDS. Hopefully the Jays can take advantage.
  13. I'd rather face the Red Sox as well. Top to bottom they just aren't as good as the Yankees. But a 5 game series with Crochet pitching 2 of those games is a dream format for them.
  14. I don’t think I’d be upset if the Sox won tonight. Not because I think they are easier. Yanks are probably better but Crochet going twice in a 5 game series evens it up quite a bit. But I just flat out hate the Yankees and watching them get swept by the Sox is simply too much fun to pass up.
  15. The most Ross Atkins quote I think I’ve ever read
  16. After seeing this lineup it made me realize that I’ve always had a lot of respect for the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Lots of good people over there.
  17. Yeah out of all our lefties Lukes seems like the one who actually has a chance against LHP
  18. Not hard when MLB lets you hit against a different ball
  19. Sugano has a pretty big parlay with a Ryan McMahon homer on it I guarantee it
  20. I understand Judge and Stanton are going to get their homers with MLB feeding them the Goldilocks balls But Ryan McMahon? Investigate Sugano for sports betting
