  1. No it was much worse Basically Spanky and I were the voice of reason meanwhile nearly everyone else was losing their minds, the usual dipshits and the board regulars alike Meanwhile: Justin Turning Back the Clock Kinder Falafel is batting .333 on the season with a .400 OBP but people are still complaining because he’s not as good as Ernie Clement We are on the verge of a split at the Trop (with a positive run differential) I could go on but the team looks incredible
  2. Are you watching the game
  3. 3 scoreless innings for Mitch White Cannot believe the Dodgers gave us this guy for a broken nearly 30 year old relief “prospect” lmao
  4. interesting that Clement gets SS over IKF
  5. A lot of weird lineup choices This is going to sound like a joke but if they wanted to play Biggio they should have just batted him leadoff so he at least gets the splits advantage the first time around Now when he gets his first AB it’s probably against a lefty
  6. Yeah but the offense was good last year. Finished tied for 7th in wRC+ and that was with several key guys having down years. People just think it was bad because we had some luck/clutch issues that are unlikely to repeat (and in fact improved toward the end of the year) and people weren’t baking in the new park factors into their perceptions of what the offense should be. If Vlad, Kirk, Varsho and Springer rebound like they are projected to the offense should be pretty good.
  7. He’s had a wild career Feels like I’m constantly chasing him or running away from him each year in fantasy
  8. Ok well now I’m convinced this is a troll job and that after we win today you’ll be singing Big Ross’ praises
  9. He’s coming around after 2 bad games lol And sure, it’s definitely possible I’ll be joining him. I’ve said it’s a make or break year for Ross. But it’s going to take more than 2 bad games. Whatever one’s preseason thoughts were should be holding at this point.
  10. He seems comparable to our competition’s cleanup hitters yesterday Orioles had Mountcastle batting 4th Yankees had Rizzo at cleanup Rays had Paredes at cleanup Vogelbach with a career 125 wRC+ against RHP
  11. All good but he projects to hit something like 120 wRC+ against righties this year
  12. Was not expecting to wake up and have only Spanky join me as the lone voice of calm and reason this morning but here we are lol
  13. Everyone pissing their pants over not signing Adam Duvall this offseason needs to take a chill pill
  14. Don’t worry guys when we win tomorrow and walk out of the Trop with a split we will all feel a lot better
  15. Don Mattingly pulling all the right strings and coordinating the hell out of the offense today Someone please check on Mike
  16. Cavan Biggio looked incredible today
  17. His slider looks good to me. The fastball doesn’t seem to have much movement though. And then he has command issues on top of it all.
  18. Yep this thread died the second we got a big lead lol
  19. This team looks incredible. The AL East was put on notice today.
  20. Turner had some good swings. He just barely missed a couple.
  21. This offense has more base hits with RISP than it did all of last season
  22. Once we get Jansen back this might be the best bench the Jays have had in my lifetime (been watching since '91). Maybe the best in franchise history. This is as much a comment on how bad our benches have been as it is how good this year's version is. I think maybe 2015 is the best I've seen.
