Dean claimed he could see the "F U T U R E" when he said a guy would hit a home run and the at bat ended in a strike out. He also bizarrely signs off on all of his posts as "M I K E D E A N" when his name is clearly Dean Mike as shown in his username. He's just not living in reality folks. Given that and the bizarre manic meltdown we saw yesterday which included numerous death threats, I am truly worried about his mental health. I pray that he gets the help he needs.

So trying to follow along with John and I suppose I see the logic. Javier has a career .319 wOBA vs LHH and .250 vs RHH. So that puts KK and Biggio into the lineup. And I guess since it's a tough matchup for any of the righties then they decide that they might as well go with the best defensive one in IKF at 3B? Stupid but whatever.

It's not even worth discussing anymore. They'll ignore the stats and claim you're an Atkins shill. They don't even complain about the right things. The main problem with Atkins so far is player development (something that Mike understands) but they'll whine about roster construction and free agent signings when it's actually the thing Atkins is good at. They ultimately might even be proven right as the offense could stink, it's baseball after all. But I don't think the evidence points to that just yet (the projections don't). Best thing to do is just wait it out until the month of April is over and then they'll adjust their opinions (jaysblue would whine about the bullpen daily last year until they shut him up) or we can adjust ours (which I am willing to do once I see the evidence).

With the 3 batter rule is there a particular reason to stagger the bottom of the lineup anymore? If they are hellbent on sitting Schneider it seems like they could at least bait the other team into throwing a lefty at us in the late innings by batting Biggio and KK 8 and 9, right? The team either uses a lefty reliever or they are scared of Schneider so they use righties against those guys. Seems like a win-win.

I may have been disbarred but I still know a thing or two about the rule of law. Allowing Dean to carry on in this clearly painfully disturbed mental state appears to be a textbook definition of "cruel and unusual punishment." It's like the "kill me" movie trope which started in James Cameron's hit film Aliens where the poor bastard is just begging to be put out of his misery after being impregnated by one of those weird Alien things. I know Dean hates me but I hate to see him suffer like this. I think a ban would be best for everyone and then Dean can finally seek the help he needs.

It wasn't that big of a deal Dean. I co-mingled some clients funds a little bit on accident and then I had a Vegas trip planned for my 62nd birthday. One thing lead to another and I ended up losing a little bit more at the Roulette table (or was it Chicas Bonitas I can't remember lol) than I thought I would. I was totally going to pay the client back but he got all pissed off after it was taking me a few months longer than I thought and he reported me to the bar. It was only about 50 or 60k and I had planned on paying him back in a year or two. I would have gotten a slap on the wrist but I had several previous complaints (none of those were my fault either) so they disbarred me. It doesn't really matter though because I still "practice law" I just had to reduce my rate to $119 per hour but I can tell you you are getting great bang for your buck on that. If you want to bury the hatchet between us you could go ahead and send me a retainer for a couple of thousand bucks and I could draft you up a will or form a shell corp to avoid some taxes or something. I'll even give you the friends and family discount Dean. Just let me know.

Well I've been working law enforcement (as the since retired Sheriff of this board) for a long time now so I'm glad you asked. As the victim of his repeated death threat attacks I am not personally offended but it was a violation of one of the few rules that we have. But I'm willing to let that one slide because I'm a nice guy. But the one that really grinds my gears is the follow up behavior where he calls a mod a "dumb f***" for simply reminding everyone of the rules. So I think it'd be best for everyone, including the offender in question, to give him a quick trip to the penalty box so he can think about how he's going to readjust his behavior if he wants to keep posting here. -The (retired) Sheriff

This is a clear violation of Rule #8. "8. No public posting that is overtly critical of moderators, a moderator, or any moderation decision" So Dean violated Rule #7 and the post was simply deleted and then he attacks a mod for it. Sorry Dean but you need a timeout pal.

Will be interesting to see what happens. They could keep them for one more year while also signing a big time FA like Bregman or something and really try and go for it in their final year. Then let them walk while a guy like Bregman fills their salary and then go forward from there. Hard to see a total teardown unless Rogers directs it at which point I think Atkins is gone and a different GM rebuilds.

Unfortunately, I was disbarred several years ago so I'm not technically a "lawyer" per se but I still practice law anyway. And yes, I do like Old Spice but I found that the deodorant would chafe my pits so I strictly wear the after shave version of it now. Wow, that is an excellent meal sir. I usually go for the ribs but if I'm taking a lady there (it's my go-to first date venue) and I don't want to make a mess I opt for the half chicken dinner as well. If I'm looking for something a little less formal I'll opt for the Rotisserie Chicken on a Bun. Hits the spot every time.

I was impressed when he predicted that a guy with nearly 500 career games at 1B would play some 1B this season. That one really blew my socks off and I loved how he dug up the post to shove in our faces. But somehow he actually topped that when he called a homer in the 7th inning but it was a strikeout instead. Another amazing prediction from Dean. Really knows his ball. I just wish he would quit "pouring" so many "cold ones" when celebrating these stellar predictions of his. It's not good for his health and only one poster is allowed to go on drunken tirades and that's because he was grandfathered in from the old message board that had no rules (his name is Spanky). New posters don't get those privileges.
