    Jansen is sitting but he needs to be ready to pinch hit. Particularly if Kirk finds himself in a DP situation late in the game. Jansen can avoid DPs by hitting so many fly balls.

    This is actually turning into a rivalry. Yankees fan HATE the Blue Jays for some reason and it's kind of weird seeing as we haven't ever really been a threat to them over the years. I can't really put my finger on it. From what my Yankee fan friends have said: -They are so salty over a couple of benign comments that Vlad Jr. has made over the years. "What is his problem with us?" It's as if they feel that all MLB players in every team in the league are just Yankees in waiting, should the Yankees choose them. -They hate Alek Manoah. I get that he's annoying as heck, even when he was good the s*** talking was a lot. But he s*** talks everyone not just the Yankees. -The incident where Judge was caught stealing signs. It's not our fault he got caught. Anyway, I really hope we beat the hell out of those crybabies. GO JAYS

    Bassitt vs. Gil Kikuchi vs. Rodon Gausman vs. Stroman Pretty good pitching matchups this series. If Gausman gets right in time for his next start I give us the edge here but not knowing where he's at I think it's pretty even. With us being at home I like us taking 2/3 to win the series.

    I was unaware of the rule that future Hall of Famers were only limited to one bounce back season per career. Since Votto has already had more than one, perhaps he is immune to that rule and can have another. He was hurt the past couple of years and while age 40 players tend to get injured again (he already has lol) or their previous injuries don't improve, it is possible that whatever health issues he has clear up and he becomes the age 40 version of the 2021 season.

    With Yimi and Green looking like lockdown relievers we are going to have one dynamic pen once Romano and Swanson are back.

    Good summary. Looked better but it was one of those games he has a couple times a year where they were laying off the splitter and smacking his fastball.

    Addison Barger is off to a great start. 3B/RF that bats left would be a sweet player to have on the big league roster.

    Ok here's the plan folks. Gausman throws 5 innings tonight and when we ass blast the Rockies 10-0 after 5 we pull him and give one inning to each of the following: Mitch White Paulo Espino Genesis Cabrera Tim Mayza Whoever does the best stays and the other three can pack their bags for the arrival of Yariel, Romano and Swanson (good god that's a lot of firepower for the bullpen).

    Yeah I would like that plan. And the truth is Yariel might be the better pitcher anyway. We can piggyback them for now but ultimately Yariel might settle in as the bulk pitcher or a 5 inning guy. Francis can always be ready to throw a couple of innings on Yariel's days and then he can be available for an inning here or there on the other days of the week. The book isn't quite out on Francis yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see him mow down the Rockies and maybe settle in as a #5 still.

    Yeah he'd be perfect bc he barely plays but with the newish 13 pitcher max rule it won't be him

    Gausman should be good, he's supposed to start tomorrow and Yariel isn't getting the call until Saturday I think a good plan could be to get Espino an inning or two on Friday if we can and then option him for Y-Rod No clue what we do once Romano and Swanson are back this week

    Yeah and with Romano and Swanson returning soon we'll have to move out 3 guys over the course of the weekend. Espino is easy enough but after that I'm not sure.

    I'd also like to point out that I am the proud owner of Ohtani in a highly competitive dynasty league. I realize I have a conflict of interest but at least Ohtani is only accused of, at worst, sports betting. Whereas there is a poster on this board who found themselves in a similar situation, only his player was accused of PEDOPHILIA. So assail my character all you want in this situation, but please know that I would never stoop to that level. I just thought it was important to set the record straight there. Thank you.

    Yeah with all the moving parts it's difficult to say Ohtani is guilty of anything. Seems just as likely that he's extremely hands off with his money and his #1 assistant (the dude was way more than an interpreter) and best friend took advantage. That happens all the time to athletes. The story changing is weird but when his interpreter and #1 guy was also the culprit it's easy to see how that could happen.
