  1. Yep the leak was accurate but the low res photos of the leak look a lot different than what we are seeing now.
  2. I am worried about Romano like everyone else but I'm not all that worried about whether he remains the Closer or not for now. Given the state of the bullpen he's going to be getting late innings one way or the other. He either figures it out or he blows the game, whether he blows the game in the 9th or the 8th or 7th doesn't really matter.
  3. Ask and you shall receive. Ryan Watson of the Florence Ya'lls is on his way.
  4. This Lopez story is getting worse and worse. Apparently his son has serious health issues and is on a waiting list for a transplant. Poor guy loses his cool because he's under a lot of stress and wants to WIN and then has the courage to face the media afterward by answering questions in his second language. He flubbed the answer a bit but talked about how he needs to be a better teammate. The Mets, a trash organization, take in all of the above and DFA him despite his 3.76 ERA this year.
  5. What if Zack Greinke and Joey Votto are exactly the kind of vetrin presents that we need to turn this season around and win the World Series?
  6. Zack Greinke and Rich Hill have both said they want to keep playing Greinke would be fun
  7. Van Eyk could be an option as well if they won't want to mess with Macko's development.
  8. I think things should be better for the pen moving forward though. Romano is worrisome and I think Genesis just sucks. I would probably replace him the first chance I got. But Mayza has been pretty good since the second week of April. Pop looks serviceable. Pearson's underlying numbers look pretty good, he's just getting BABIP'd a little bit. Richards is his usual self. Yimi has been lights out. Just got Green back who should be good.
  9. Yeah if Green is good that will go a long way to shoring things up. Freaking sucks that Manoah got hurt though. He was looking like he could stick in the rotation and that would have allowed us to put Francis back in the bullpen. Now Francis is probably a bulk inning guy/starter.
  10. Team has announced that Manoah left the game due to "elbow discomfort"
  11. I thought that had a chance to bring the runner home until I remembered who was on third
  12. IKF looks incredible Can't believe we signed him for so cheap
  13. They look much better in this video. The first leaked pic had some orange in it with no number on the front.
  14. Big game for Manoah. He wasn't very good last time and if he can't bounce back against this White Sox team it doesn't bode well for the rest of the year.
  15. Yeah watching Skenes pitch live would be fun
  16. Skenes and Jared Jones both pitched today for the Pirates in their doubleheader so we won't be seeing them this weekend
  17. Rockies players are weird. Their home stats are obviously juiced. But their road stats are depressed more than normal due to the "Rockie Road" effect. I don't think it's totally understood but the pitches they see in Coors don't move as much so when they hit the road it looks like everyone's got better stuff than they actually do.
  18. Yeah surely a guy who can play a good SS for league minimum can stick around as the 26th man.
  19. I always knew that Gibson guy was a great player. Just wasn't sure how good. But obviously one of the all time greats. Would have smashed MLB pitching. Too bad he never got the chance. Great player. I love Josh Gibson and all Negro League players. Have you ever seen Ken Burns' Baseball? Great documentary and it gives a lot of deserved attention to the Negro League players. Great players and even better people. Nothing but respect for them. Josh Gibson.
  20. What sabremetrician has the balls to publish an article where he assigns MLB equivalencies to Negro League players' career stats by adjusting their numbers down? lol "While Gibson slashed .374/.458/.720 in his career, his MLB equivalencies suggest that he was a true talent .249/.345/.468 hitter. Certainly above average, but not nearly as good as his reputation would suggest."
  21. Fantasy analysis is completely different than real life.
  22. I am definitely a lot of noise so no argument there. And there is some truth to the team being filled with mental midgets but this is the positivity thread. If it were in the Ship is Sinking thread I would give this a like.
