  1. Clement is cheap and hasn't really had much of a chance. There's a possibility he comes back next year as a cheap bench option if he shows something this year. Plus, once we add another lefty in Horwitz he might have a role to get some spot starts when one of our many fringe lefties is sitting. Biggio would make less sense in that regard as he's also a fringe lefty. He's also starting to get expensive, I just don't see how he comes back next year with what he's due to get in arb. Vogelbach could get the boot as well as whatever playing time he gets would likely be soaked up by Horwitz. He has been playing and batting cleanup though. Biggio hasn't really been playing at all. Tough to say, I think Biggio is getting dumped but wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the other two either.
  2. Could it be....could this actually be the end for Craig Biggio's son...???
  3. Yeah Brian Serven has an OPS over .800 in AAA and he might be one of the worst hitters I've ever seen.
  4. Oh hell yeah Reading posts like this gives me a dopamine hit similar to when I dabbled with nose beers in the 80s
  5. Yeah the A's are a little bit better than everyone thought they would be and a 3 game series with them after a game and long flight today won't be walk in the park Would love a sweep to get to a game over .500 but winning the series might be a more realistic goal
  6. Yeah the split is nice but getting blasted 24-12 over the four games doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence moving forward lol
  7. Salvaging the split was huge. 2 games under .500 with a 3 game set against the A's coming up.
  8. I think I read somewhere that he has had good movement on his slider he just can't control it
  9. It was the strikeout pitch to Cowser. Nasty pitch. https://www.mlb.com/video/colton-cowser-strikes-out-swinging-09k9yn?partnerId=web_video-playback-page_video-share
  10. I can't remember who he threw it to but he had a 97 mph sinker that had insane amounts of tail on it and he got a whiff despite it ending up well out of the zone
  11. Zach Pop is kind of good but he also kind of sucks. He's got one really good pitch. It's so good that he can throw it over and over and be a big league reliever. But the fact that he can't throw a second pitch even somewhat effectively makes him suck. Pretty frustrating player.
  12. I will say that despite being one of the biggest Debbie Downers on the board you are easier to engage with and will also allow yourself to celebrate and enjoy the wins and other good things that happen
  13. Despite the bullpen hiccups that was one of our better games of the season. The 2 out RBI hits were incredibly pleasing. Hopefully we can spank the A's.
  14. They've been slow releasing them. Seems like once a week since the start of the calendar year or something.
  15. 2 out, 3 run bomb 2 out texas leaguer to cash another run Enjoyable game so far but there's still time for it to all fall apart
  16. It's amazing what homers can do for the team We have 1 hit through 3 innings but lead 3-0
  17. Yeah it seems like we never see a 2 out, 3 run bomb
  18. Maybe he doesn't "cut" the ball as well as other guys? If you cut the ball you aim center to bottom half of the ball and when cutting it properly it creates backspin which helps the ball stay in the air longer.
