  1. Of the Buffalo Boys, Barger definitely has the most tools. Elite bat speed, good raw power, huge arm, good speed. Schneider has a lot of half tools. Horwitz probably has a solid hit tool and that's it. But both of them seem to get the most out of their talent with good plate approaches and baseball moxie.
  2. Yeah Beltre is a good comp. Plus he's a one team guy, he's a short roly-poly type, he's seemingly got a pretty fun personality and he also knocked out Tim Anderson in one of the better baseball brawls you'll ever see. He'll have the stats and the Beltre-like aura to go with it.
  3. I don't know if he would need to trade Bo but for Atkins to get off most everyone's shitlist we would need to see: -Buffalo boys produce, thus showing that he can develop some homegrown talent -Other good farm news, like maybe Tidemann makes a few good starts down the stretch or Orelvis has a big debut or something -Have a good trade deadline -Core players like Vlad, Bo, etc. have big second halves -Make it past the Wild Card round, possibly would need to make the ALCS Tall task, but not impossible
  4. Getting Yariel back will help. He can be the bulk starter and Francis can be the long guy and Richards can move back to a 7th inning role.
  5. He's just trolling you. Every time you post he just ignores what you write and argues against a strawman.
  6. But I thought this team wasn't capable of advancing past the Wild Card round? So what would that matter?
  7. Boston has the above average pitching that seems to play up against us. They've been good largely because they have abandoned their fastballs. I wonder if they will still do that or if they'll go fastball heavy against us. Even so, our starting pitching has been on a roll. I like our chances to pick up another series W. I have some concerns with the bullpen though lol. It looks like dogshit without Yimi.
  8. Well well well...looks who's back on the bandwagon. All it took was a couple of fringe prospect callups
  9. "Three strikeouts on called pitches suggests he’s still not swinging the bat at borderline strikes."
  10. Elbow soreness ain't good. Was hoping it was anything other than an elbow or shoulder injury.
  11. You are undoubtedly correct but the Debbies are parsing your words to fit their argument. Of course Teoscar would have helped. We'd probably have a couple more wins. But that's assuming that Atkins and Mattingly could squeeze as much out of him as the Dodgers are. And like you said, if Vlad, Bo, Springer, etc. were playing up to their potential that would be something like 5 or 6 wins right now.
  12. Here we go again, Series W against a good Guardians team and the Debbies want to talk about Teoscar (because they can't talk about Moreno, Gurriel, AA, etc. right now).
  13. Series W Hopefully Yimi is ok though
  14. Yeah he's been pretty good so far.
  15. I can see it. Bo and his magnificent hair flowing through the wind as he runs wild on the bases all night with both rainbows and an adoring crowd as the backdrop. Get him in your DraftKings lineups fellas, he's going to have a big game.
  16. Robert would be a good add. Crochet too. I would like to see the Jays kick the tires on Mike Trout as well. Get the Angels to pay for some of the contract and we can keep him healthy.
  17. We can beat these guys. They are playing way above their talent level right now and I like the pitching matchups for us. Also, tonight is Pride night and the boys will no doubt be fired up to deliver a big W for the crowd. Nothing will get a team fired up like slapping a couple of rainbows on the jerseys and scoreboard. Easy win tonight.
  18. Apparently the Astros owner directed that signing. Jeff Luhnow's wife was on twitter torching the Astros owner over Luhnow's firing and Click's exit recently. He needs to stop meddling or that franchise will start to tank.
  19. Yeah I'm skeptical of Kasevich as well but he is having a good year. It seems like the reports on his defense are very positive this year. Prior the season he was seen more as a 3B who can play some SS. But he may in fact be a legit SS. So if he could be a 70 hit tool, 55 fielding, 35 game power Shortstop, then that might shoot him up the lists some. And he is at least solidly built at 6'2'', 200 and does hit some home runs so I suppose there's always a hope he hits for more power whereas Madrigal never had a chance.
  20. Buckle up fellas, this team is backing it's way into a first round Wild Card exit and there's nothing you can do to stop it
  21. KK's playing time will probably take a hit too.
  22. Yeah this definitely opens up that possibility too. If Votto bangs in AAA he's got a clear spot now.
  23. Since Barger was sent down he's been playing everywhere. 8 out of his last 13 games have been at SS even. Also plenty of LF and 3B and some RF and 1B too.
  24. Tough guy to move. Always hurt but the injuries don't seem to have slowed him down much when he does actually play. And the injuries probably lead to tons of lowball offers.
