  1. Teams turn it on and off for seemingly no reason. Hitting is contagious and it's all about confidence. Bo was getting 2 to 3 hits a night. He was on a tear. Losing him put more pressure on everyone else. Schneider had his normal AB with runners on 1st and 2nd and got it to a 3 and 2 count and then he swung at ball 4 that was a ball out of the hand. When you're going well you take it and it's bases loaded. When you're pressing and you want to score runs and get the big hit you swing over top of that one. Who knows. It could be a Santander homer that injects some life into the team. I think it's almost a blessing that we're in this situation. We're desperate to win the division. We're facing those nerves and learning how to handle them. I'm a massive Vlad fan, but we need the big guy to get a couple of big hits before the playoffs. We're facing Skubal tonight. I'm sure most have already put an L down. There's nothing better than winning games you don't expect to win. Hopefully we can get it done tonight somehow.
  2. I think it's highly likely Bo is back for the playoffs. We just need to win the division and give him a couple more days.
  3. He hit a homer at Buffalo from the right side 111.5 mph off the bat. He's taking his walks. He should be in the lineup Tuesday. Cheers bitches....we're back in the playoffs!
  4. I'd rather trust Max coming off one his career worst starts. I just don't trust rookie nerves.
  5. Pitching wasn't the problem today. We are not winning unless we start hitting. Bring up Santander.
  6. Varsho misses the game tying double by a 2 feet and then hits a ball that would have been a homer in 9 other ballparks....just s*** luck. Great AB.
  7. Seriously Schneider you don't need to pinch hit Giminez for Schneider when we're down 1....come on dude.
  8. The game is offense and defense. Schneider has a 135 wRC+ Barger is 106. They both have power. Giminez Straw and Clement all provide elite defense. Like your comment is ridiculous.
  9. That's why we need to bring Santander. Instant offense. A homer can get you back in a hurry.
  10. They need to bring Santander up. We need some home run pop.
  11. Believe it or not but my brothers got me a 25 year special edition El Dorado for my birthday. I only drink it on special occasions.
  12. We're clinching today, and I'm going to have a nice dark rum to celebrate! Let's go!
  13. Bieber's curveball is the best righty curveball in baseball. It's that good.
  14. He's 8.6. It's not like he's 6.5 K per 9 and the walk rate is 2.4.
  15. He was a starter when he struggled...there's a difference.
  16. I think Little is criminally under rated by people on this board. He's Brett Cecil reborn. That spike curve is identical to prime Cecil. 13.4 K/9 2.57 FIP. I have faith in Hoff. Williams is having the same season as Hoff. Varland and Dominguez were solid leverage reliever adds. We have Rodriguez. Hopefully Garcia and Sandlin make it back. Assuming those 2 get back, I don't look at the Jays bullpen and think it's a bullpen that can't compete in the playoffs.
  17. Hoffman's numbers are identical to last year except the long ball. He's had some bad luck with the long ball including a couple wall scrapers. We've won in games where he's given up runs. He's still put up lots of zeros.
  18. The Yankees rotation is hanging on by a thread. Rodon is an older dude....often older dudes fade towards the end of the season. They have no depth. If Rodon or Fried went down, they'd be finished.

  21. I think he's criminally over rated by many on this board...lol I don't think he will amount to anything.
  22. I mean the twins could have been the one's pushing for us to take france....whatever. We got 2 decent bullpen pieces. I lobbied in the offseason to get bieber. I think he's going to be an ace.
  23. Even if he doesn't start and he's a reliable back end bullpen arm for years to come. I'm plenty happy.
