Teams turn it on and off for seemingly no reason. Hitting is contagious and it's all about confidence. Bo was getting 2 to 3 hits a night. He was on a tear. Losing him put more pressure on everyone else. Schneider had his normal AB with runners on 1st and 2nd and got it to a 3 and 2 count and then he swung at ball 4 that was a ball out of the hand. When you're going well you take it and it's bases loaded. When you're pressing and you want to score runs and get the big hit you swing over top of that one. Who knows. It could be a Santander homer that injects some life into the team. I think it's almost a blessing that we're in this situation. We're desperate to win the division. We're facing those nerves and learning how to handle them. I'm a massive Vlad fan, but we need the big guy to get a couple of big hits before the playoffs. We're facing Skubal tonight.
