  1. I don't remember the last time this team had more than 3 runs....I feel like it's a long shot at this point.
  2. We really need to fire atkins and Schneider....
  3. We are way to focused on seeing pitches and getting into good counts. We have way too many flawed hitters. Varsho took a low fastball. A ball he crushes and then got into a 2 strike count and the pitcher threw the high heat he can't lay off. We need a little more Cito style be ready to hit the first pitch. We're missing way too many pitches early in counts.
  4. This feels do or die time. Vlad needs to hit a bomb right here.
  5. I feel like it might be time to call about JD Martinez. We can make room for a DH. We have no f***ing offense.
  6. Schneider is an awful manager. There's no reason to rest Santander. We need to get him going for 1. It's the first month of the season...like come on.
  7. Each have 5Ks, given up 1 hit. Gausman with 2 walks, Brown with 1 walk. Almost identical.
  8. This really is a great pitchers duel....Gausman with 98...take that!
  9. I accidently liked this..lol. We could look at a bigger sample size like the last 2 years where he is xwoba was under .300. There's zero reason for him to hit 4th. If you're old school a guy who weighs 150lbs and hit 9 homers doesn't hit 9th. If you're a new school guy a guy he had a xwoba less than .300 with no power the last 2 years and his career xwoba is .303. That's not a number 4 hitter. The bigger question is why is Schneider our manager when Terry Francona was available in the offseason!
  10. He will be....best head to your local liquor store. That's my coping mechanism.
  11. I know it doesn't work like that, but you can remove probably from your statement and replace it with WTF is Schneider thinking. Springer's going to have an OPS 150 higher than Giminez. Over 162 that adds up to fewer runs scored.
  12. so if George was hitting 4th like he should be he would have hit a double with the bases loaded..lol. For those that think it's fine that Giminez hits in front of George!
  13. Santander had a pitch to hit out of the park...fouled it off...damn
  14. The pitching has been fantastic all year. I'd love to think that the bats could wake up and explode and support the pitching when it's having an off day, but I'm not holding my breath. A 11 to 9 victory would be fantastic, but probably not in the cards...lol
  15. anyone binge watching any good shows? I need something to watch!
  16. We really need to figure out if or when Scherzer is going to be back.
  17. You know you're locked in when you slam your bat on a ball you hit just shy of the warning track. It's like Springer expects to get a hit every time.lol
  18. That's ********. Over 162, you put a much inferior hitter in front of a more superior hitter it costs you runs. Springer provides protection for Santander. Games can end with Giminez as the final out. It makes zero f***ing sense to have Giminez hit ahead of Springer. Someone make an argument that Giminez is a better hitter than Springer. Giminez shouldn't be hitting 5th either. He's an 8 or 9 hitter.
  19. Schneider is an idiot. Giminez should not hit ahead of springer. Barger should be hitting 9th, not Roden. Why put added pressure on the kid. Somebody bump the fire Schneider thread...like come on John.
  20. That's probably more realistic, but 2 more doubles last night. .985 OPS so far at high A. No reason not to push the envelope and progress him through the minors if he keeps balling!
  21. I mean we don't have a real sample size yet, but in 38 PA, 4 walks, 8Ks .983 OPS. That's exactly the start you were hoping for from Nimmala. I made a point of looking at old Bo Bichette pictures from when he was 19. Like Nimmala just turned 19 last fall. There's no comparison. Nimmala is much more physically mature than Bo was at that age. That means he's got the chance to be quick to the majors. Bo hit the MLB at 21. I honestly think Nimmala can be here next year in his age 20 season. If his OPS is still .over 900 a month from now send him to AA and see how he does there.
  22. I see...so he should be available to pinch hit.
  23. Why isn't springer playing by the way?
  24. Someone find some wood to knock on, but Bo has been incredibly solid defensively. His one throwing error wasn't even a routine throw. He's looked really good defensively so far this yearl
