  1. He gave up 1 run in September with even less Velo. You guys get way too concerned about the radar gun. Executing is far more important.
  2. He's locating. He's using the slider, the splitter. He's looking dominant. His fastball is fine.
  3. Vlad forced that mistake though. Ball bouncing away is a tougher throw. It didn't get away that far. Most guys don't try and advance.
  4. oh....who comes in next. I'm scared. I have no idea why they won't use Bassitt.
  5. He's not going to walk guys and this is a fastball hitting team.
  6. f***...don't bring in Varland for the top of the order. Don't let them see him again. This Ms team is begging for fastballs. Bring in Bassitt.
  7. Vlad crushed it...s*** luck...great to have the pitch count up.
  8. lol....I'd like to take that negative ******** shove it up your ass. I will not stand for the negative attitudes today!
  9. I would have been fine with Hoffman coming in after Little's tire fire, but I actually thought Bassitt was the guy for that spot. Seranthony can be a bit wild. Bassitt deals with jams all year long. I just think he handles his emotions best in a spot like that. I think he would come in with something to prove.
  10. Expect and believing it's possible are 2 different things. It's not an 0 and 3 hole. It's 2 and 3. If the Jays win tomorrow they will be favourites in game 7.
  11. I don't think John made the right call last night, but he was the guy that used a rookie in game 2 of the post season. He's the one that opted for a bullpen game against the Yankees and navigated a tough Yankee lineup. He used IKF the last 2 games and he's come through. Like Jon has got a lot right. It's fine to be critical, but you can't omit success.
  12. Jeff has had high pressure situations in the past. He's also failed in the post season. I think you learn more from failure. I'm sure Little will learn from this too. I agree, that our bullpen is the weak spot. We just need to score lots of runs the next 2 days and god forbid let a starter throw 115 pitches if they are rolling. It's time to manage the game with feel. Who's hot, who's confident. Who do you trust to get out of jams. It's do or die time.
  13. He's pitched 4.1 innings in the post season with 5Ks and 1BB and the run he gave up was pitching to the scoreboard. He gave up 1 run in September in 11 outings. He's not a lights out closer, but he's the best we have. I don't really care what your personal bias is. Little gave up a homer and 2 walks. I mean he could have given up 3 straight homers. That would have been worse, but short of that his outing last night was really bad. It just was.
  14. The problem is Little accumulated those stats early in the season. He's been shaky in September and in the post season. He just doesn't look confident on the mound. Hoffman gave up 1 run in September and his stuff wasn't really that great. He was mostly just executing and commanding what he had. In the post season his stuff has looked better. Maybe it's the adrenaline, maybe just more time off has helped the arm. He's just been pitching really good lately.
  15. We had s*** babip luck. Giminez smoked a ball in the 3rd that is a double far more times than not the way he hit it. If Clement's bat path is 1/16th of an inch higher it's a swing and miss and he's in an 0 and 1 count and more than likely puts the ball in play and scores a run. Raleigh hit a 348 foot home run. Clement hit a 363 foot out. The baseball gods just weren't on our side last night. I feel like we're going to win the next 2. Raleigh is the danger guy. So is Naylor. Polanco and Suarez are both guys who hit bombs, but they have swing and miss. You just have to execute. I just feel really good about Yesavage and Bieber. I hope the offense shows up early and often in game 6 and set us up for an epic game 7.
