  1. didn't they activate Swanson too? Man what a difference a few games can make. People will say they have faced crap pitching, but every player in the league faces crap pitching throughout the season and that's where they pad their numbers. Maybe we just hadn't faced enough crap pitching this year so far! Barger, Bo, Vlad, Springer, Kirk. These guys all have pretty good numbers. The underlying numbers also suggest their numbers should actually be better. Can we just get Santander healthy and have him hitting close to the back of the baseball card. This team could actually be really good. Let's go on a run. I'm ready for playoff baseball this year. I actually feel like we could get there and I wasn't so sure earlier in the season.
  2. He kinda looks like the type of guy that can go 3 days in a row.
  3. Back to back...2 guys who should have hit homers in their last AB deliver with line drive singles....at a boy Kirky!
  4. at a boy springer. He deserved that after his last AB.
  5. Talk about a s*** luck inning. We should have scored multiple runs that inning!
  6. Lukes has been shocking good this year...lol I'll admit I didn't expect him to play this well.
  7. The conspiracy guy in me thinks he fouled off the first two attempts on purpose so he could swin Even our outs are loud. Springer hits it 393 feet. Homer if it's not to center. Bo lines out after smoking it 110 mph.
  8. Bo is having a really solid rebound with the bat. His expected numbers are quite a bit higher than his actual numbers. He was going through that ofer stretch and you find out he's dealing with back tightness. It makes sense. The thing is, the kid is in a contract year. He's in the worst shape of his life. He's not grossly out of shape or anything, but he's no where near as fit or as strong as he was a couple years ago. I hope he can get a bit fitter as the year goes on. I actually really like the kid and he's under a lot of pressure with this being his contract year.
  9. They need to use the pitching machine and set it at 96 mph fastballs for these guys in batting practice.
  10. I think we should bat Vlad 9th. He'll be so pissed he's batting so low, I'm sure he would hit a homer.
  11. We need a manager that will tell the front office to f*** off. There's a reason they didn't go get Tito when he was available in the offseason.
  12. For my sanity sake, can we fire Schneider today. Vasho has a .227 OBP and sees no pitches. He's batting leadoff. Taters has a .588 OPS and is batting in the slot reserved for your best hitter. I'm assuming Bo is not healthy, but if he is and Bo and Kirk are getting days off on the same day...wtf. Schneider seems like a nice dude, but I've had enough.
  13. Nimmala was 3 fo 6 last night with a double on South Asian heritage night in Vancouver. He now has a .917 OPS. Now that, the South Asian Heritage night is over, can we move this kid up to AA.
  14. ok..you got to let that slider clip your leg..lol
  15. yeah...2 outs...the call came from the dugout. Stupid.
  16. That was ********. That should have been a hit. Great positioning by the right fielder...playing shallow and got a great jump. As soon as he hit it I thought it was getting down.
  17. I always go back to something Buehrle said. He said 6 starts a year everything is working. 6 starts a year nothing is working. The other 20 you have some things working and you have to battle. This sure looked like one of the 6 where everything was working. He was able to reach back for more velocity in big counts. Nowadays it's just third time through the order. No feel for the game anymore. The computers have taken over..lol
  18. He's obviously had his struggles, but he was on tonight. Getting swing and misses, locating. Velocity was up. Hopefully next time out if he's having a good outing he'll get a bit more rope.
  19. There was no reason to pull francis there. He gave up a single on a fairly well located fastball up and in.
  20. I mean is .409 babip is unsustainable, but he's still killing it. Move him to AAA. Nimmala on the other had has a much more reasonable .315 babip and a .935 OPS with 9 bombs. He's also 19 while Pinango is 23. I assume the only reason Nimmala isn't being promoted is because of the South Asia night planned in Vancouver on May 27th. For goodness sakes once that's done move both these kids up a level.
  21. I not sure I really believe in Lukes, but until he stops hitting, why would he sit? His OPS+ is 19% above league avg. Sitting him seems nonsensical.
  22. Yeah, because I could spend the evening talking to my wife.
