    home plate umpire backed up that great call with a strike call on the change up off the plate to Bo....we'll see if Ryu gets a generous strike zone.

    First 5 years should be fine. Even if he's a zero win player in 5 years Cohen will probably spend 300 mil on payroll so they still have close to 270 to work with, which will be way more than almost all the teams in the league. We need the Mets to pile up several bad contracts..lol.

    It's the manor in which things are done. When things are leaked, there's numbers out there. You're not sure what to believe, because guys like Nightengale just sort of make numbers up. There's no smokescreen. The owner made the details public. The Agent is rarely the one who puts out the actual numbers! If Lindor has a tough start to the season and puts up a .700 OPS in the first few weeks of the season it should be fun watching the New York media get on him. The pressure is on Lindor day 1 of the season.

    Yeah, but players don't like their negotiations being put out in the public, despite the fact that agents leak things all the time. It's not like something was leaked to the media. It was Cohen himself who made it public. This can piss a player off and he might sign for less money somewhere else. Regardless, Lindor is crazy for turning down 10 and 325 if he actually likes New York.

    What exactly makes you think the Jays will go 11 and 350 for Lindor..lol.

    He's 26 years old. I think he should be okay until his age 32 season.

    I think he'd be crazy not to sign that. He has a lot more to lose than gain.

    I watched this entire game and they didn't even start the entire A lineup in this one. What's worse is we have to play 2 more games in June and Aruba was ranked worse than the Cayman Islands...lol. Could get interesting when we play Haiti to get into the Octogan. The Belize football team was held up at gunpoint prior to their game. Talk about intimidation factor. We also lost to Haiti in the gold cup in 2019 3 to 2 although we should have won that game and we are a much better team now.

    I'd rather see Thornton starting than TJ Zeuch.

    I think it's 16 a year. The Dodgers are at 275 mil in payroll coming off a year of big losses. 16 mil reduction in payroll saves them 7 mil in tax and brings them down 23 mil. Next year the Dodgers have guys to sign. Kershaw and Seager. What happens if Kershaw has a better year than Bauer and Bauer is on the books for 45 mil for 2022. What do you think Kershaw acts for on a 2 year deal when he's still dealing? The Dodgers seem like an endless pit of money, but maybe they aren't.

    multiple pitches within the zone for the Jays pitchers that would have been strike three called balls. A ball 4 or 5 inches off the plate to Kirk called strike 3! These umps are in mid season form!

    That was a nice double by Gurriel....pitch was almost on the dirt and he still got to it.

    Why you hating on the good Canadian kid! His story is pretty amazing really.

    No I meant Teo lol. He has 8 walks. Vlad has 7 walks, also impressive but he's shown some plate discipline in the past. I just noticed Teo's .400 OBP and it caught me off guard. I had to look up how many walks he's taken. If Teo ups his walk rate he's goes from being a scary hitter to a nightmare. Same with Vlad. We might have 4 or 5 nightmare's in this lineup. 900 runs is a possibility.

    Teo with 8 walks this spring...that's impressive.

    I'll save you the suspense. The odds of Warmoth making the team out of ST is 0.0% lol. He's had 19 ABs mostly against pitchers who won't be on major league rosters and he has 7 Ks in those ABs. Palacios on the other hand has started a lot more games and has faced better pitching. I feel pretty good having Palacios as a depth piece. Both Palacios and Davis are having fantastic springs.
