  1. f*** charlie...get milone out. We need to win this one.
  2. charging in throwing across your body on the move. You're not going to make the perfect throw all the time. Vladdy should have had that one. It hit his glove, it just popped out. It would have been a tough error, because most first baseman would have had that one, and usual Vlad does pick that one himself.
  3. it was right down the middle. He hit it hard, just didn't elevate. As long as guys aren't striking out, I'm happy.
  4. 0 strike outs tonight. Now, that's more like it!
  5. scratching out runs...nice to see.
  6. it's time for the little league walk...no swinging.
  7. oh..lol my bad. I think that's a bit harsh. Time for the Mendosa brothers Cavan, Rowdy and Lourdes to get going tonight!
  8. Where did he say Polacios f***ing suxx lol. Gurriel has been awful this year, but given his career body of work at the MLB level, I'd bat him ahead of a rookie too. I think Polacios is showing some promise. I just like Gurriel and he's due to break out of this funk.
  9. Dante was on the bench last night. I don't remember seeing him on the bench yet this year.
  10. They just exercised his option for 22 so he's paid for this year and next and Atkins said they are eager to talk about a further extension. They love him. I just don't get it. He could be a very good guy to have on a staff, but some of his in game decisions. I don't get it.
  11. watch us bring in payamps and we let Jansen hit instead of pinch hitting with Rowdy.
  12. good pitch, but he threw the exact same pitch to him 0-1....tip your hat to the hitter. Wasn't a bad pitch. Time for the offense to pick Ryu up.
  13. Jansen is a good dude. I really want him to get a hit. If you can't hit the fastball, you can't miss the hanging sliders at 84 right in the middle of the plate.
  14. to be fair, Lourdes and Kirk smoked the ball.
  15. jansen missed one there.
  16. I would be tempted to try him at third for a few games and put Cavan in left when everyone is healthy.
  17. Eovaldi, Rodriguez, Richards. Decent arms, but a lot of injury risk. Pivetta, Perez, Houck at the back end don't inspire much, but is this the year Pivetta takes a leap forward? It's easy to understand why people would discount Boston going into the season. The top of the lineup can hit. JD isn't going to slug .800 this year the rest of the way though. If things break right and you get a healthy Eovaldi and Rodriguez and somehow get a solid back end starter out of Pivetta the Sox definitely give me angst with Sale coming back. The whole point was for the sox was to dig a big enough hole that once Sale came back they couldn't climb out. Now that they're off to a hot start the shot of confidence a Sale could bring them when he returns makes them a scary team for sure. I still don't think the Sox win the division, but any team not named the orioles could win. It's a shame they didn't expand playoffs. No dominant teams in the AL. That 6th or even 7th place team might not be that far back from the 2nd or 3rd place teams in the AL. The competitiveness will make for a fun year, but some team is going to feel slighted missing out by a game. Hope it isn't the Jays!
  18. s*** luck for Rowdy. That's a double if the outfielders aren't playing deep. Desperately need springer and Teoscar back. I'm not sure about sitting Lourdes when we have an off day tomorrow. Oh well...on to the Sox.
  19. Just awful decision to us zeuch
