  1. We have no choice, he has to stick around! I'm not expecting much though. I thought he was awful lucky last start.
  2. Roark, Strip and Zeuch ideally need to be replaced. Ray could be back Monday to take one spot, but Pearson is probably gone till May.
  3. I remember the days when teams got by with 7 man bullpens. Now we wonder if 9 is enough! Hopefully Matz and Ray can give us innings. Hopefully we can get to an 8 man bullpen.
  4. I think Rowdy will be fine. The first month of the season is always the over reaction time. Some things you see are real, some things aren't. You won't really know for 6 weeks or more.
  5. Rowdy is definitely pulling off some pitches. I felt pretty good when he had a slow start last year because I thought he was taking good swings. He's overswinging a bit right now. There's being late on a fast ball and there's missing a fastball. Yesterday he wasn't late, he just missed it. It was a pretty good pitch. It's tough for a guy to lay off on pitches at the top of the zone and take 95% swings and stay on the ball when all you want is a hit. Rowdy's ABs were a bit better the last game he started. He just needs a couple good games to get some confidence going, just like Teo, Cavan and Lourdes.
  6. I would have been happy with both. I had no problem with the Yates gamble. Looked like Paxton's back tightened up. Hopefully he can make it back. Good dude, great talent. Just has a hard time staying on the mound.
  7. He's a high risk, high reward just like Yates! He gave them 1 and a third good innings!
  8. it's saskjayfan....Yes I saw that. Cheering against a good Canuck is awful.
  9. f***ing ump...should be a one run game.
  10. The Rangers have had a lot of hard hit outs. We're actually fortunate it's only 6 to 1.
  11. Rowdy is struggling, but he just crushed that ball. You hit the ball hard like that and things will turn around. Try waiting until the next strike out to complain.
  12. even our hard hit balls aren't dropping...damn.
  13. Jays down 5 to 1 with Milone coming in. Raps down 20. The masked singer is looking awfully appealing all of the sudden.
  14. Roark will have made just over 46 mil for his career at the end of this season and the Jays have paid him more than half of those career earnings. That makes me sad lol.
  15. and we can all hardly wait to get to Milone.....Roark's might be the worst starting pitching in the bigs at this point!
  16. Can we just DFA Roark already?
  17. The big diesel doesn't even get going until the 3rd...3 shutout innings coming up!
  18. Tonight was even worse when he went 2 for 3 with at the plate with an RBI. I mean, what more do you want from the guy. I'm sure he wasn't happy to be taken out after 77 pitches either.
  19. I'm out of the loop myself. I think they are just using him as much as possible. Imagine if he gets 100 more ABs and 20 or 30 more innings than all the projection systems out there and does both at a above average level....just a wonderful talent.
  20. I mean the balls a manager has to have to bat a pitcher 2nd in an AL game. What if he comes out flat on the mound and gets rocked? So far Ohtani is rewarding that ballsy move. Fascinating to watch.
  21. King goes 6 innings. Montoyo must be shaking his head wondering what in gods name Boone is doing.
  22. zeuch get's an out on a ball hit 114 mph and Thornton gives up a double on an infield pop up....baseball!
  23. Panik really should have let that hit him. Take one for the team.
  24. Randal hitting to stay in the lineup. I like that motivation!
