  1. Makes sense to send Wagner and Roden down when Varsho is ready. Keep Lukes up as a 4th outfielder and like Term said, he doesn't have to play everyday. Seems like the role fits him fine. Get Roden and Wagner everyday AB's in Buffalo and let them rebuild some confidence. They should have been starting in Buffalo to begin with ideally. Would start Clement at 3B. At least he has a glove. It's not like Wagner is playing any better offensively anyways. Would keep Barger around and get him some reps in the OF when Santander and Springer DH and maybe a bit at 3B and use Clement as a defensive late inning replacement. Would like to see Barger get more playing time and see what he could do. Think there are ways to be creative and to get his bat in the lineup almost everyday, while rotating guys like Santander/Springer through the DH spot.
  2. He actually owns Pederson in two dynasty leagues lol.
  3. Love your positivity Term. Not all doom and gloom as it looks. Hopefully they avoid the sweep tonight and maybe can take 2 of 3 against the Yankees!
  4. I literally said the same thing like two weeks ago and was tarred and feathered.
  5. The best game IMO that stood out and we need more of is like the second game against the Braves. What was the difference in that game? The longball with runners on made a difference. Jays ended up winning 6-3 thanks to home runs from Roden and Santander. That made the difference. Otherwise, the Jays likely only score 2-3 runs that game.
  6. Yeah for the last 2-3 seasons they have been. Seems that way since the 2022 season. Lineup construction wise, this lineup is only top heavy #1-4 (we're also lucky Springer is off to a great start or it would be #1-3 haha) while the rest of the lineup features #8-9 hitters. Even the bats at the top (Bo, Vladdy and Santander) only have 3 HR's between them combined.
  7. McMahon wouldn’t be that much of an upgrade haha plus most of this board hates him. Roberts would be a sweet pickup for LF.
  8. Kirk, Gimenez, Clement and Roden have been fine on the other side of the ball. But the issue is they’re being relied on to hit in the middle-of-the-order (Gimenez, and Kirk especially) when in reality they’re bottom order bats. As well, we’re rostering too many types of these guys and don’t have the other bats to make up for it. As for projections, they’re not the be-all and end-all. Adding another bat or two with pop, and having Wagner & Roden as depth in AAA would have been better IMO.
  9. Something is fundamentally wrong with this team when it comes to home runs.
  10. They’re not in shambles. Yes they got off to a bad start and have been hit hard by the injury bug, though it looks like they’re starting to turn things around as expected. 4 game win streak is definitely a good start! You didn’t think Atlanta was going to play to a .278 winning percentage all year?
  11. Josh Walker with 3K's in 2 innings. Would like to see him being used as a LOOGY guy later on if he sticks with the big club. Like his stuff.
  12. Yeah they had no choice obviously. Shows you how much was needed to improve this lineup from last season. Still a lot of work to be done.
  13. Ideally, Santander should be hitting 5th or 6th on a winning team, but we'll have to make do with him hitting 3rd haha. Like you said, contract wise, Santander at least isn't crippling. Just got to hope he can average 30 HR's, and 2-3 WAR seasons with around a 115-120 wRC+ during his time here.
  14. 1) Bo 2) Vladdy 3) Santander 4) Springer 5) 6) 7) Varsho 8) Kirk 9) Gimenez At the end of the day, the team needs an upgrade over Clement/Wagner at 3B and an upgrade over Roden in LF moving forward. Going into the season with Wagner and Roden as starters is looking like a mistake. Ideal situation would have been having them start in Buffalo and be the first guys called up in case of an injury.
  15. Braves have won 4 straight.
  16. Pretty much outside of Bo, Vladdy, Santander and Springer, the rest of the lineup is filled with #8-9 hitters, which isn't good enough. Unfortunately, Bo, Vladdy and Taters are off to slow starts power wise, but they should pick up. Though still, this lineup is pretty weak.
  17. You wouldn't be the only one who flip flopped on Hunter Brown lol.
  18. Atlanta has won 3 in a row. Starting to right the ship. Sucks about losing Strider. He looked good in Toronto last week.
  19. Jays paying 2.20 money line on Bet 365. Great odds with Gausman pitching.
  20. I see the Jays taking 2 of 3 from the Astros. Like Term said, Astros pen isn't as rested as the Jays. As well, their lineup has underachieved greatly so far.
  21. Was watching the SNB game last night after the Leafs were crushing the Sens haha. Tatis clobbered that ball he hit for a HR to give the Padres a 3-2 lead.

NHL Playoffs > NBA Playoffs Especially the first round. NBA Playoffs only start getting interesting in the Conference Finals and NBA Finals. 1st/2nd rounds can be bores, depending on matchups.

Yeah Stars missing Robertson/Heiskanen hurts. Was watching the game on Saturday night and while it was close, the Av's pulled away in the 3rd. It's a must win for Dallas tonight in Game 2 at home, or else the series is pretty much over.
